Charizard's Name in Japanese is Lizardon. Charizard can Learn Solarbeam in Diamond/Pearl. With Sunny Beam; it is one of the Most powerful Sweepers.

Infernape's name in Japanese is Goukazaru. Infernape is the shortest fully evolved starter pokemon to date, only being 120 cm.​

Whats your Favourite moveset for Charizard or Infernape? Is it effective? How can it be countered?

As I haven't used Infernape yet... I won't provide a favourite moveset.

As for Charizard, I like having this:
- Flamethrower
- EQ
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse

It's easily countered, I just like how the attacks look ;D

For Charizard, I enjoyed my own moveset of:
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Slash
Metal Claw

It might not work well in competitive play, but it did well enough for me to defeat FireRed.

For Infernape, I'm going to use this move in competitive play:
Infernape@Choice Band
Nature: Jolly.
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP.
Blaze
-Flare Blitz
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-U-Turn/Thunderpunch/Mach Punch

Just start pounding on everyone, and U-Turn if a Ghost-type comes out.

I'm done...for now. xD

I dont mind EVs, but if i had to...
Infernape @ That thing that increases Critical Hit
252 SP ATK, 252 SPD, 4 SP DEF
- Nasty Plot
- Flame Thrower
- Stone Edge
- Grass Knot

If i'm planning Stone edge, i've probably alredy buffed up my BP Scizor XD

Charizard: cant be compared with. a Fire/Flying with high as speed, great moveset and good Sweeper.
Typhlosion: Typhlosion just looks good... or.... Go Infernape...
Blaziken: They are relatively the same, but infernape looks much better.


On a side Question: Alex, where did you get Flavaquil from?

Quil as in Quilava?

XD, I kinda needed to know before restarting in D/P.
I'd say Charizard could probably handle Infernape quite well.
Personally I go for Blaziken right now, I'm used to it. But that may change after using Infernape for a little while. It is pretty much a copy though... Fire/Fighting.

Hmm... well it was part of something else that I'd came up with earlier with nicknames.

Fire + Lava = Flava
Flava + a random "quil" became Flavaquil. Well... not really random, Cyndaquil. XD

Oh, and the hyphens are there because they're awesome. XD

Yeah, if you wanna know more, ask me in my FC. XD I didn't fully explain the origin of Flava.

fire blast (or blast burn)
fly (just to move around sinnoh or hoenn or johto or kanto)
solarbeam (for the water and rock types)

Infernape:

i dont know i just got him from an egg and it just evolved into one.. heres one that i think would be good

Flare blitz
flamthrower
close combat
(i dont know)

Charizard - Blast Burn... Just that if he is ash's... he wont need to recharge... Like that girl's Scizor (Red Lightning or sumthing)
