So, baby Pokémon... what do you think? :S
Are they adorable and the best thing to happen to Pokémon? Or are they horrible, useless, and some be destroyed? Or do you just not care about them? :S

Kinda pointless, but no more pointless than a lot of standard basic stage pokemon, so I'm not really all that bothered. My favourite though would have to be tyrogue, stops me from having to trade to get all the hitmons.

@ topic: Well, I personally think they are filler Pokemon with their only two purposes being "cute" to attract new people to the whole thing and annoying players because they're so weak (well, not all of them, but almost) and have a very annoying evolving condition: happiness, which means if everything goes like planned in a normal playthrough, they evolve at level 30. Seriously, what's the point in getting Clefairy at the same level you get Feraligatr?

They are totally worthwhile. And most of them are cute, my favorite is Pichu, I know its over done, but its soo cute.

I don't mind them if the entire evolutionary line is new. I just wish they didn't keep adding to existing ones >.<

Well, I personally think they have a very annoying evolving condition: happiness, which means if everything goes like planned in a normal playthrough, they evolve at level 30. Seriously, what's the point in getting Clefairy at the same level you get Feraligatr?

That's easy to get around...albeit tedious as hell. In my Poison monotype playthrough of Pearl, I evolved a Budew into Roselia at lv.6 (so I can get Poison Sting instead of Water Sport) by running around Jubilife City for about 30,000 steps.

but yeah...Baby pokemon are more or less simply pointless. Some are cute and all, but still utterly pointless with their low combat abilities and whatnot. Unless I'm trying to get them earlier than I can other wise (like my above Budew-Roselia example) I'd just as soon just catch the basic-level pokemon in the wild than try to evolve a baby into a basic. >_>

Baby Pokemon are fine with me. Some are annoying, but I like most of them. My favorite baby Pokemon is Cleffa because it eventually evolves in Clefable. Which is one of my all time favorite Pokemon.

I love all of them. Is so funny because when Azurill was intorduced, I didn't know it never existed, I thought I just looked over in the GSC days...
Anyway, my favorites would have to be:

Smoochum - I love the comparison of her and Jynx. She is super cute an reminds me of Lady Gaga, which is why the one I use for Cute Contests' name is BABY GAGA...

Budew - So cute an always powerful in my playthroughs, even though it usually takes a really long time to evolve in the average playthrough.

*chin taps* I guess my personal favorites are Wynaut and Railou, because they evolve into two of my favorite Pokemon; Wobbuffet and Lucario.

And I don't mind the baby Pokemon, actually; although they aren't my favorite group of Pokemon, they do evolve into some useful Pokemon, and they have their purposes. Sure, they aren't fantastic for battling, but hello... is a baby in REAL life a good fighter?

I love Pichu and Togepi :3 I used to always use my Togepi in G/S/C, and Pichu I just think that little guy is cute as can be!

All of them are cute(except MIME JR!!!!). But if you want to battle with them, I suggest you have to battle your opponent with one too.

I think they're cute but they're just quite slow to Raise.
I don't really like thenew ones but the first ones[Pichu, Togepi, Azurill and Cleffa]
I guess they're made for those little kid Pokémon Trainers/Tubers,to sorta fit in with their character.
I mean, a tiny little kid with a Ramparados? Would look sort of wierd from a game perspective :L

But I think Igglybuff and Smoochum look a bit mad with their huge eyes.
Munchlax is the cuteness though ^^) IMO!

They really serve no purpose except for more Pokedex slots to fill, except for some baby-exclusive moves (which is a questionable idea in itself).

Then again, I don't recall ever training a Pokemon with a baby form, so I usually hatch the baby for the Pokedex entry then leave it (or use it as a bargaining tool for trades). Yeah, I'm McNasty like that :P
