5th Gen Iris in the Games / New commercials discussion

This was a screenshot I took while watching a video that's 100% real on Pokejungle

It It seems Iris is in the games, but who is that guy with here and where are they?
Honestly my eyesight is crap so that guy either looks like he's wearing a knight's helmet, which might mean he's on team plasma or an old man. So what do you think Iris' role will be?

The Zekrom/Reshiram scenes look amazing. And just wow. We can notice the seasonal changes better, too. Also, team Plasma's logo on-screen thing is wooow. I'm so excited. :D

But second apparently says over 100 new Pokemon? The 151 rumour could be trueee. Or was it 157?

Either way, I'm leaning towards these videos and all of this being true, considering what was posted on PokeBeach about it being on TV soon, etc.

I also noticed that Shimama was able to attack upon switching, was this the effect of a move, or new battle mechanics?

i think theyre true after doing some research. (yes on pokebeach)

I hope its 151.. i hope they will also get better designs

Oh my goodness gracious I am bursting with excitement! I can't sit stilllll. >w<
It all looks so flipping fantastic! They really outdid themselves this time. <33 The beautiful 3D effects on Reshiram and Zekrom are to die for. They displayed great effects like those on Lugia and Ho-oh too in HGSS, but Zekrom and Reshiram's are just.. mind blowing. Everything just looks so... crisp and vibrant. :D

Couple things I gotta say I'm really digging are the new evolution sequence, and the Gym Badges. How the Pokemon melts into little sparkles that twirl around and generate the new Pokemon. <3 & The way the badge appears in front of your eyes when you obtain it and spins around all pretty.. then your badge case comes out and you watch the badge go into it.

Oh oh and the trade sequence! So awesomely fast and efficient. No waiting for 2 minutes for the trade sequence to end anymore!
I simply love it all. ^__^

.. I almost forgot to mention what I think about the Iris thing. Well, it's not too weird. Characters from the video games like Ruby have appeared in the anime. Cameos, but they appeared never the less. XD

Oh god those videos make me so glad I pre-ordered Black; I don't care that I don't understand a word of Japanese, there is no way I can wait till March to get these epic games, hell no.

Also, by the looks of it, it appears that Dento's Pokemon change depending on whether you step on the Fire/Grass/Water platform? Or depending on your starter? I dunno, it's almost like he's GL of all three types, but surely that can't be the case? It's confusing, to say the least.

XD Also, seeing as Aloe is her mom, and we know for a fact Iris has a Kibago, I'm hypothesizing that Aloe might actually be a Rock or Ground type GL, hmmm...

Anyways, I have to say dangggggg. All three videos are awesome. Skeletons of a legendary? Nice. The cut scenes are quite awesome too. Looks like N has Hihidaruma and will battle you with it, which shall be cool. Also I too love the evolution animation. Very wicked.

Oh, man! The videos were awesome. I also thought Iris was an anime-only character. I'm so excited! Too bad It's coming out in Mar 2011 (In English). I can't wait!

My mind is just blown. So much to see in each clip, so many clips in each video, so many videos...

The thing that sticks out most to me was the Reshiram vs. Zekrom scene. Their attacks looked godly. That, and the story cutscenes in the first pokejungle video. N with a childhood past? Awesome! This is also pretty much the first time we ever get cutscene art like this for pokemon games, period. And that's something.

Oh my gosh :O This is just an overhaul of footage!!!! AND IRIS WILL BE IN THE GAME :D :D!!! I hope we get to battle her :3!~

All the footage just makes me want to play it even more now, im sooo excited, the graphics look amazing, the gamplay looks as fun as ever! I just hope it wont be very complicated when playing the japanese version!

They did; I remember reading it before her artwork was announced. Either it was a mistranslation or they backtracked somewhat and put her in the game so as to have a loose connection to the anime.

I get the feeling that this game is influenced by medieval myths and legends, since Team plasma dress similarly to knights, and as the OP said the man in the trailer looks somewhat like a knight. Add to the the cutscene they keep showing which looks to me like it is some sort of coronation ceremony, as we see a crown been carried by an entourage, and a medieval-looking castle/temple hybrid where the player character is running to the top.

To me this is almost disproving that Isshu is based on New York/wherever and rather a European-based location.
