do you think that iris will ever be a good trainer she to me seems like a loser in the anime she has an axew that is weak an excadrill witch maybe strong but hates her and then her emogal witch is ok. she just doesnt seem to have the right stuff to be a trainer.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF HER

Well, I very strongly disagree with you there. It also doesn't seem like you have seen some of the newer japanese episodes. But, firstly Excadrill never hated her. Enter spoiler:

Also, you can't blame her character because her Axew is weak, because firstly it's still in it's baby days. But anyway, it's proven itself to be powerful by mastering dragon rage.

I think shes a great character with an extraordinary personality. She's just so wild and fun.

I also think she's quite overlooked as a trainer, I mean, she raised Excadrill as a Drilbur, and

I like her.....she has a very unique personality and after looking at the spoiler, I thought that Excadril hated her... but now I know

She is a very interesting character. In the English episodes, they haven't caught up with the episodes with the Jap. After watching more of the Jap version and learning more about her, I started liking her more. Iris as a interesting background story with her which is something I really enjoy. I also thought Excadril hated her as well but I knew there was a reason for it not wanting to listen to Iris.

the only reason i say she isnt strong is because the episodes ive seen she isnt witch the us is very behing on episodes

Then you should watch the latest Japanese episodes, or at least read their synopses to see how Iris is doing.

And as for me, I think Iris is a good character. I like her personality and how she teases Ash about being a kid. She's also a not-half-bad trainer; I mean, she had her Axew perfect Dragon Rage and have Excadrill obey her again.

OH HOHOHOHO! I read 'Iris' and 'Loser' in the same sentence and I almost got this weird sensation you guys call 'Extreme Anger towards a person'. Let me reread OP's post so I can prove myself wrong.

Yeah, Smurf, I'mma go smack you with a cactus till your ponies come marching home

I love Iris and her personality. A loser? Meh. You just wait. She's just as likely to be 10 years old as she is a loser! Not. At. All.

I like Iris, her personality is fun and I feel she's a good trainer.

In my opinion Iris is good character contributing to balanced and interesting group dynamic with writers attempt of keeping her past and story like goal, problems surrounding her pokemon etc in mystery until now being nice twist trying to keep audience in intense mood.

Currently she is getting pretty good treatment for a supporting character screen time wise(especially lately)giving us insight in her back story and past life, what motivated her wanting to become dragon master,as well problems about her pokemon like Axew,Emolga and Excadrill until lately being addressed.Inclusion of rival like Langley is welcomed thing too which serves fitting as push/motivation in her future development.
Insight in past and defeat she experienced from Drayden pretty much sets up that culmination of Iris development is going to happen around 8th gym getting rematch with Excadrill with Axew being petty much a given being main center of Iris story with her mission being to raise and evolve it in powerful Haxorous.

I also like the fact that we get for a change experienced trainer who isn't complete rookie which didn't happened since Misty with Iris showing impressive skill with her result of 99 wins winning tournament under age of 10.

Yep, like the others said, wait for the Excadrill episode and you'll see she's a powerful trainer ;).
