RPGs are indeed possible in Flash, Bionicle.com has evidence for that in its Mata-Nui online games 1 and 2. (I haven't played the other games like VNOLG and don't know if they're made in Flash)

Flash RPGs seem to be made of multiple flash files put in one folder along with a few other file types and all put together in one file that plays them all(a "player" swf put in either an MS-Dos application or an html page.).
For those experienced in Actionscript, is a Pokemon game engine possible to construct in Flash? I don't mean just a battle system, I mean the whole dang thing. I know very little actionscript but I'm game to learn it at some point, and I'm sure as hell going to try if it's possible. Especially with the release of Flash CS3 and Actionscript 3.

Has this been attempted before and is it possible?

I think that's what the people who made Pokemon Online were trying to do, before their website was pulled from the net...

You can code a game engine in anything if you have the patience or ability in.

Some people actually program games in Visual Basic. :'( Yuck!

You'll have to see my sig to see what mine is in ;)
