Maybe this will make up for my horrible intro thread back when I first joined the forums in '08. For those interested in seeing what that hot mess was like, just click this little link here. Soooo....

    Hi.

My name is Shivanan, but literally no one calls me that. Seriously, no one. Instead, you guys can refer to me as Shivi. If you want you can call me by my username Aerilyn ("air-rye-lin"), but I'd prefer you call me Shivi since it feels more personal that way. I currently live in Florida and I'm twenty-one years old ─ it still feels weird saying that by the way. Sadly, despite being of age, I choose not to drink a drop of alcohol. I don't even curse, lol. Except, there was that one moment in my life...

As you can see I've spent almost five years here. Technically four years, since I was absent from the forums from late 2011 and practically all of 2012 after I resigned from my Super Mod position. That's right, for those of you who don't know, I'm ex-Super Mod Hiiro. I left after I lost interest here, but I came back at the beginning of this year. Now I'm back and currently modding Pokémon X and Y. I don't know what the H-staff were thinking when they brought me back, but hey, I'm happy about it!

Well, what can I say about myself? Um...

Certain things that I have a really strong passion for would be television, writing, books, film, and music. No really, I do love all of these things. I love them so so much, I hope to one day pursue a successful and professional career in acting and maybe even one day try my hand at creating my own television series. Maybe. Some of my favorite television shows currently would be Revenge, Parenthood, Awkward., Teen Wolf, Person of Interest, Nikita, New Girl, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Being Human, The Vampire Diaries and more. There really is more. Boy Meets World is like my life bible though.

    So there's all of that.

I'm a really open minded person and I like meeting new people and learning new things. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. It's one of the big reasons why I wanted to make this thread for a long while now, but I just didn't get around to doing it till now.

I'm open to any and all questions. If I feel like I don't know the answer to one of them or I prefer not to answer your question(s), I'll let you know. I look forward to you guys digging into my life and getting to know me a bit better.

    M'kay, let GO!

What's it like being modded twice? I know you said it's shocking that you're on staff again, why is that?

Do you think it's possible for you to become a smod again sometime in the future?

The one time you cursed? Story time please? :D Unless it bothers you.

Did you know I love you?! <3

What's your favorite generation? (6 doesn't count since it hasn't started of course)

Do you enjoy modding XY more than HGSS during all the pre-game hype?

How do you feel about cooties?

What's the worst show you've ever watched?

    YAY another Walking Dead fan!!!

What were your thoughts about the season 3 finale? Were you as disappointed as I was?

It wasn't really so shocking to have been modded a second time. In a way I was kind of expecting it? Me saying what I said earlier was more of a me trying to be funny... There goes my life dream of becoming a stand up comedian. D:

I will say, compared to my first go at being a moderator, I feel like this second go around I've matured a lot more since and I knew more about the position and what to expect than I did the first time. I also know more about the forums and how things work so I'm able to view things from a different perspective than I was able to before.

I think it's possible for me to become an S-mod again, sure. It's all up to the higher staff though and whether or not the need for new blood in the HQ is desired. Plus, there could always be someone more suitable or deserving of the position than me at the time. I won't lie to you though, I would very much like to become a Super Mod again. It's not like a goal or anything, but I had a lot of fun during my time as part of the higher staff and I feel like I can do an even better job my second time than when I was initially a Super Mod before. But, that'll happen when it happens and if it happens. I'm currently content as the Pokémon X and Y moderator.

Those were dark times. It was a period during my sophomore year at high school and I was hanging around the wrong group of people. I started getting influenced by their behavior and I started acting like the bad boy, cursing and ignoring the people who really cared about me. It's not a version of me I'm very proud of, but I think I'm glad for the experience because it taught me more about myself and the person I'd rather be now than who I'd rather not be.

I always had a feeling. Did you know I love you? <3

Probably not a surprise for you, but I will always love Gen III. Pokémon Ruby was my first game and I've probably played it more times than I can even remember. I love the Pokémon of that generation and the Hoenn region is still one of the most beautiful and diverse regions today. Consider me one of those hopeful for a remake during Gen VI. Then Gen VI will really be my favorite of all!

I had a great run modding HG/SS. The experience is quite different though. Whereas with HeartGold and SoulSilver, we sort of knew the basis of the games already. With X and Y, we're completely in the dark about what new things we can look forward to and the speculation surrounding the games are so much fun to get into. So I guess, in a way, I can say I enjoy modding X and Y more. The old HG/SS forum will always have a special place in my heart though. It was my first. Also, being partners with bobandbill was great too!

    Eeeeew, cooties.

The worst show I've ever watched? Hmmmm... The only one that comes to mind right now is Whitney. Gosh, I couldn't watch anymore after the first episode. Glee also became a train wreck, but at least it had its moments. I'm sure there are others that I can't remember though.

    YAY another Walking Dead fan!!!

What were your thoughts about the season 3 finale? Were you as disappointed as I was?
Oh man, I was really disappointed with that finale. More so because the rest of the season was so good! After all of the build up throughout the season though, the person I wanted to die most ended up living to see another season. I really don't want to have go through another season with that person around. Oh, and Carl. Ugh, Carl. I know a lot of people really hated his character, but I always found some reason to defend him. Until now. If you couldn't tell, I'm trying to say as much as I can without revealing too many spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet. Overall it was very anticlimactic, but it still has me looking forward to Season 4. The show is just so addictive.

    Also, Michonne. <333

    Hi Shivi!

Favorite and least favorite rumors going around about X/Y?

    Favorite music genre/artist?

Anything in the future you're looking forward to?

Favorite Pokemon from Gen VI so far?

Favorite thing about X/Y so far?

Why do you choose to not curse or drink? Any reasons like personal choice or morals?

Ok, I completely understand not drinking alcohol as I choose to abstain from it as well, but not cursing... well, that's just a completely foreign idea to me. Ask anyone who talks to me regularly - swear words are my darlings.

I can also understand not cursing due to it being disrespectful and whatever, but what about in a casual situation? One on one? In a text? I'm just curious about your mindset because I swear like no tomorrow, lmao. Obviously I know when and where to hold my tongue, but otherwise...!!!!!!

I'm not trying to be judgemental at all, by the way!!!

Hey Shivi! Have you read the Walking Dead comics, by chance? Cause if not, you totally should. =P

Also, I've always wondered this, but what was it like having a sister on the forum with you? I remember wanting my sister wanting to join (I was 13... and she was 8) but never followed up with it. Was it ever awkward or weird or anything?

    Hi Shivi!

    Hi Jake!

Favorite rumor? The new Fairy type. I think it's a plausible new type that can work and I'd really like to see it happen. Plus, if Sylveon had to be any type, Fairy is definitely most fitting. My least favorite rumor would have to be dual-typed attacks. Just no.

Truth is, I don't have a favorite music artist, it's always changing depending on what I'm currently in the mood for. Some favorites would be Adele, Digital Daggers, M83, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, The Lumineers, Macklemore, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, Paramore, Bridgit Mendler, Ed Sheeran, Agnes Obel, Imagine Dragons, Florence + the Machine, Marina & the Diamonds, and Silversun Pickups. That's just a few of them though.

If you couldn't tell, my music taste is pretty diverse so I don't have a particular genre that I favor most either.

I look forward to attending college sometime in the near future! My plan is to get a job and save up some money so I can attend school in California.

Favorite Pokemon from Gen VI so far?

Favorite thing about X/Y so far?
Pancham!!! I love the little Panda. Fletchling is probably my second favorite right now too.

I love the graphics, the design of the region, and the Pokémon have all made a good impression so far.

Why do you choose to not curse or drink? Any reasons like personal choice or morals?

When I was seven, my dad gave me some beer to taste and ever since then I've been completely turned off by the smell and taste of alcohol. Also, I don't want to get old and end up with a beer belly, that's just gross. I like being in shape and eating healthy. I don't like smoking either.

As for the swearing, it mostly comes down to morals. Growing up, I've always learned that saying certain words were bad and that I shouldn't do it. Since I was relatively the kid to listen, I just never did it. Except for that one time in high school.

I don't look down at people who curse though. Ultimately, they're just words and so long as they aren't being used in an offensive way, then I don't see much of a problem with them. It kind of does bother me a little when someone uses swear words in like every sentence, but growing up with my grandpa ─ who swore like a sailor ─ I've kind of learned how to tune it out. It bothers me soooo much when little kids do it though, especially when they do it just to look cool.

I have not, but I have heard great things about them. I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to read them, but if the opportunity presents itself, I'll make sure and grab it.

Honestly, having my sister here and even on staff was kind of cool. It kind of brought us closer in a way since we had something to talk about and relate to at times other than just other things. We joined at the same time so it never felt awkward having her around or anything like that. At the same time, now that she's left it doesn't feel all that different either.
