Why on earth did i wait so long to watch Arakawa, this is really hilarious. My manlove for Shinbo grows even bigger.
 
I really wish I hadn't clicked that spoiler. Man, that is surprisingly deep.
 
Oh, that reminds me of Queen's Blade. Rie Kugimiya, Mamiko Noto, Aya Hirano, Kanae Ito, Yuko Goto, Rie Tanaka, Hitomi Nabatame, and Ayako Kawasumi.
 
Everybody I know irl who watches anime was raving about FLCL, so I rented it and watched it . . .

Actually, I thought it was crap. I tried to tell the guys who recommended it to me why, but they just kept going 'durr hurr but that's what makes it fantastic.'

So, what? Flat, borderline grotesque art, dodgy characters, horrible voice acting and having no goddamn plot to speak of makes a good anime? Hmm . . .

(just my opinion. I know lots of people love it for some reason)
 
Eh, no. Never watched it but, I heard that an illustrator of FLCL had something to do with the ED of Bakemonogatari.
 
It's an allegory for puberty or something. I just remember it had some cool animations and that ED. Other than that, I completely forgot about it. I should give it a rewatch but :backlog
 
I don't get all the praise it gets, it's not bad but it's hardly God tier like it's made out to be so many. I've heard it's better second time round, you look past the chaos more apparently so i'll also get to rewatching eventually. The music was awesome though.

There was a plot, you just had to get to the end for it to even approach making sense. Since this is only six episodes, that's not much to ask of the audience. Not to mention, the story is the characters, seeing them grow is kind of the point.
 
It's rare to find an anime with such a large set of conclusions drawn from it. I'm still pitched well and truly in the "meh, that was ok" camp though.

Don't play The World Ends With You. You'll hate it.

Also, FLCL's soundtrack was probably more awesome than the anime itself.

That's not saying FLCL was bad, it's just saying The Pillows are really damn awesome.
 
It sometimes felt like you were watching a string of awesome AMV's over an actual anime, or was that only me? :L

Anyway, New Higurashi OVA coming in the summer. With the name "Kira" you'd hope it'll be a little more like the first could of seasons and not the other OVA. Haven't played that expansion so I don't have a clue what it'll be about but the excitement is still there. Even though it's not very related, as a warm up i'll definitely watch Umineko before the release.

What what what? TWEWY is perfect! I actually enjoyed it, the plot, the gameplay and the voice acting.

Infinite Stratos ED huh? Hm, I was wondering what would happen to Madoka...
 
Madoka is on hold atm, they announced the episodes will air sometime next month but no dates yet. Seems to be the worst hit anime. sadfrog.jpg
