They couldn't have picked a more fitting soundtrack. It fits the show, always fits the scene and, on its own, is always so awesome.

It is one of those shows you can like for shallow reasons and deep reasons. They're both valid and it's what makes it so special.
 
I don't even think they're deep reasons, just not immediately obvious due to the flashing distractions and overpowering randomness.

Anyway, I hate /a/ more than ever right now, they've probably scarred me for life and not with the usual Boku no Pico screenshots.

Have you seen these tribute drawings Jump manga series get as a 10 year anniversary present?

Tite Kubo.. has the less impressive art from all of them.

Infinite Stratos is good this episode. Rin was awesome this episode, since like, she slap Houki.

And I didn't know Cecilia has twin drills. o_O
 
Of course she does, that and the ojou sama hime sama attitude are vital for her Britishness.

I just noticed that. WHat I usually notice when she appears is her voice. Yukana's voice is still fresh in my mind. (last season's AMagami SS)
 
Cecilia's voice is very . . . memorable, desu wa? It kind of goes up at the end of every sentence, desu wa ne?

I like Charlotte best of all, personally. Kana Hanazawa has the voice of an angel. A French one.

(somehow managed to totally forget about this week's episode so am downloading it right now despite running very fast out of internet.
 
Of all the Japanese speech quirks her Desu Wa is actually not that bad. Thinking about it the only one that regularly annoyed me was Suiseiseki of Rozen Maiden ~Desu.

These characters probably should be annoying but I like them....
Ayu (Kanon), Misuzu (Air), Rika and Hanyuu (higurashi), Naruto (guess), Rana (Freezing) and the pink haired maid woman (Shakugan no Shana).

Fairy Tail uses them to comic effect pretty well, most of Lucy's spirits have one. Sagittarius is the best though ~Moshi Moshi

Just a quick question for those infinitely more experienced with this sort of stuff than I: is it worth paying £25 ($40, but including tax) for all 6 episodes of FLCL on DVD, or should I just wait until the price goes down, whenever that may be?
 
Considering the average price of an anime BD in Japan is like 7000+ yen for two episodes, I'd say you're getting a somewhat good deal. Also, it's 150 minutes worth of content for £25 when other movies of similar prices in BD quality are about 90-120 minutes if that may convince you.

FLCL is actually available on Amazon right now for US$19 on DVD or US$21 on Blu-ray. If you want to order, make it quick, because the offer ends on April 4.

So... this is in-line with other animes then? It just seems so expensive in comparison to films and TV shows. Also, this is just on DVD, not Blu-Ray.

That'd be a Region 1 DVD presumably... not compatible with my European Region 2 DVD player. I'd also have to pay shipping costs and taxes on top of it to get it through customs, not to mention having to wait ages for it to actually arrive from the US. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
 
Rightstuf also has stuff on sale a lot. for example, FLCL is 24/27 for dvd/blu-ray and all Yen Press is 33% off right now
 
Last ep of Star Driver next week; Wako suggest that she and Takuto should see other people.

No, not really but she does say she wishes she never met him.
 
"I want to stay loyal to the one man i've set my heart on, i'm not like you or my aunt"....Wako got owned. Yeah, i've not really been a fan of her. It's almost a rule in this type of anime though, the main guy will end up with the blandest girl.

After that preview I can't wait for next week. xD
