My favorites for this season so far are
1. AnoHana
2. Hanasaku
3. Denpa Onna/Steins;Gate

The worst two are easily the Oretachi show and Lotte no Omocha though
 
As much as I hate sweeping generalizations about "fanservice"-y shows, I can't disagree with that. It's not that I don't enjoy them, it's just that I'm enjoying most everything else more.

I should really finish my anime research paper though. I don't think I can take another week of adding to my backlog.
 
I read all of the translated chapters of Lotte and decided not to watch, there were a few funny moments but not worth the 5 minutes to download and 20 to watch imo.

I can kind of agree with the fact that fanservice shows usually suck but then there are series like Enma Kun that break the rule.
 
Gintama, watched a fair few eps recently and it's still getting better. Kagura is easily the best female protagonist of any of the big shonen series. 'tama should really take Bleach's place in the "big 3".

I'm really liking Five Star Story right now

It sucks to hear that they only adapted the first volume of the manga though
 
Giving Eden of the East another go. This show was good, why did I stop watching it...?

Although it seems to be a Coming of Age story for an entire generation.
 
Never felt the urge to read Toriko so i can't judge it.

Anyway, started a random action series called Dirty Pair last night, not sure if anyone would have seen it but it's pretty fun.

Also read a selection of Sumomo Yumeka one shots and Voices Of A Distant Star, God i love her artwork. I am a Shinkai fan but that series worked so much better as a manga.

Oh i also read a couple of Clannad things, Tomoyo After ;_____; and the first few chapters of the 4koma.
 
Can't Drop Naruto from the big three, at least Kishi draws backgrounds and doesn't rinse and repeat as much as Kubo. As for OP being better than Bleach, can't say. After 115 chapters of Bleach I loved it but after 440+ not so much, if OP keeps up it's pace OP will be better than both Naruto and Bleach.
 
Probably is but I was referring to the Jump 3. Tbh unless Bleach has a radical turn around I can see a lot of it's fans stop bothering with it. It's filler arc on TV is more original than the manga atm.
 
Well, I've only read Bleach up to where SJ is publishing it in English (ie about 32 volumes, the Hueco Mundo arc) and it's really good so far, but I have heard people say it gets boring later, so . . . idk. :x

But I still don't like One Piece. I never found it funny or particularly appealing for some reason. Tbh, I'm not a huge fan of shonen manga in general, though like I've said, I like Bleach. I am also quite fond of Fairy Tail, and I'm keen to see it in English. *fingers crossed for Funimation doing a good job*

And in other news, I got Summer Wars the other day and it is beautiful in every possible way. <3 Very close to my favourite anime movie ever, right up there with Origin and Princess Mononoke.
 
I never got the hype around Summer Wars

Sure it was pretty good, but the way people always talk about it I thought it was going to be great
 
I heard of Summer Wars. It looks pretty cool. I've seen the directors other works. He directed the second Digimon movie, which was awesome. He also made the second best One Piece movie, the sixth one, which was even more awesome. That Mamoru Hasoda guy is pretty cool.
 
That's impressive, mine is pretty large as well. Due to it being in multiple files I took a screenie. It might take a while to get through this.

I'm pretty back up as well. I've downloaded about 25 anime series I haven't begun to watch, and I still have about another 50 I want to watch :<
