Spoiler:

Strangely he won and lost respect at the same time.

I thought Blood-C was a completley original...well alternate universe type thing.

Yeeeeah. There's all sorts of wtf going on in that movie and this scene totally sets the tone for most people.

That is what an alternate story is. :P It's all the same characters in a different story, if it were completely original it would be random bishounen vampire #1689 from CLAMP.

I think they've changed the characters, well apart from the main characters first name that is. I'm a Nana Mizuki fanboy so I'm very much looking forward for seeing the new Saya in action.

Oh, and although it isn't needed I'd still watch the the original film and series at some point. It may just be nostalgia goggles but some of that series was really awesome.

Okay, then I should enjoy Blood-C :P

I feel like rewatching some Gundam, even tho I didn't like it when I first watched it ._.
Is the new season a sequel to anything?

I think the new series is a completley new setting although it's probably best to go into it with some knowledge of the Gundam world though. Honestly I dunno though.

Although if the only mecha series you've liked is Geass...going straight into Gundam is an odd choice i'd have thought.

The new season is a totally independent series.

You should try to get into Turn A Gundam, it's the least mecha of all Gundam series and...well hard to explain. One of those shows you really have to see for yourself to appreciate. Plus, Romi Park as a lead in a Gundam series? Most awesome idea ever.

Which Gundam did you end up seeing that you didn't like?

I also like Ghost in the Shell, which is mecha, but idk if it counts since it's more 'police' type or something.

Alright I'll give it a go, and I'm not sure really, I just remember seeing it on SyFy a while back. What Gundam is your theme from?

I forget that cyberpunk series often feature mechs of some kind.

As we're talking about mecha series do any of you rate this.
Spoiler:

Saving the world from aliens to a J-pop soundtrack? why not.

Ah, that was probably Gundam 00. I liked the first season well enough, but the second kind of second and it wasn't that great as a whole.

My theme is from Turn A Gundam, featuring the Gundam itself in it. Anywho, if you're looking to get into Gundam, these are shows I'd recommend based on genre (outside of Turn A which rocks anyway and if you like slice of life, you'll probably like it)

Action-Adventure: Gundam X and G-Gundam. Neither are too incredibly deep, but they are solid shows and they've got fun and fast paced stories for the most part.

Depressing-kill-you-dead: V Gundam and Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. Especially the second on, it's a short OVA series but one of the most loved from the franchise.

It's a decent show, the ending kind of makes you want to kick something. The original series has a much more satisfying end and Macross 7 is a pretty awesome space adventure.

Aren't there over 50 types of Gundam shows? (Including movies, specials, etc.)

I'll take a look at those, but right now my minds on Kamen Rider and Ghost in the Shell :B

50? Nooo no no. XD There are 10 series, three original movies, 10 OVAs and a bunch of manga that don't really factor in.

I'd give 00 a try, Ginga and Kamiya are on the same voice cast. :o
I would like 00 a bit more if it was more subtle than hammering you over the head with a brick.

Specials, specials everywhere.

Also, stumbled across this from that link. For some reason i can't imagine Kiminozo parodying anything, i guess it was like the School Days mahou shoujo or something. ^^

That's not what MAL says :<

But, I'll give the ones with the highest scores a shot and Turn A :D
Ah. Wasn't counting a lot of those since they're essentially just recap movies. Seems like a few manga are listed as well, and random CGI shorts that never aired outside of conventions or come as extras with model kits, nothing you're really missing out on. XD

But yes, Turn A! It's an awesome series. :D

To be honest, the only good Yugioh season was the first one, then GX was bearable, but the rest, not good. At all.

Rewatched a couple of GITS 2nd GIG on AS last night, god I want to watch the whole season so badly now! Same goes for the first two seasons of Pokemon, Cowboy Bebop, first season of Yugioh and even One Piece for some reason.

I liked the first one, for at least the first three seasons. Duelist Kingdom was brilliantly executed, Duel City was also amazing, and I just loved the concept behind Noah's plot and having all the deck masters. It was interesting and I liked it. After that it went downhill. :[ I also have to agree with you on the GX thing, which was bearable. I haven't seen 5D's or Zexal yet, so I have no opinion on that, although the concept behind Zexal seems dumb. Card games in space, wtf?

I might also re-watch Highschool of the Dead. I enjoyed it a lot, and wouldn't mind watching it again. :D Kohta-san is obviously the best character there.

U just mad at card games on motorcycles.

5D's wasn't that bad, it got a bit cheesy at times, but it was overall pretty good. GX was fun, though it completely forgot Misawa was in the party (plus it had those great OPs and EDs, including Wake Up Your Heart [and also had SEIGI NO MIKATA KAIBAMAN!). ZEXAL is a Mahou Shoujo with card games.

Y U NO ROMANCE, YU-GI-OH?!
And here I thought they were trying to push Yusei x Aki
