Poor you; it's better than half the stuff out there but when you boil it down it's just a cheap allegory of South American history with a lot of sex and death thrown in.

Pretty much. It's a soap opera........except everything is depressing. I could go into greater detail, but it'd be the most boring and convoluted summary of anything that anyone could ever read.
