So I've been eyeing up JPAN's hacked engine for quite a while, and whilst I understand most of the things I'm trying to do... I find the documentation doesn't fill in the bits I don't actually understand :P.
So, say I want to add new OWs, with new Palettes.
To add new palettes I need to expand the table, keeping the 'end reading' bytes intact, with a pointer and a palette number. But how do I actually use that palette? Which tools will allow me to preview it on an OW? I know how to change the palette of a sprite using hex, but NSE Classic won't recognise any additional palettes I add (also don't see/know how to edit it's ini either) which makes spriting and adjusting sprites a hell of a lot more difficult.
What step am I missing?
