Kaboom!!!

I would probably get told off very much by my parents if I did.
Anyway we're not allowed to purchase them if we're under .. What is it? 20/18 over here..

i'm not a fan of it.. the noises disturb my dogs..

But this year, an odd thing happened. People of my neighbourhood lit some at Christmas.
I had never seen that before..

Fireworks are pretty and all but I'd never light up one of the things. I don't want to get burned... and trust me if I tried to light one up that would inevitably happen.

I used to. I don't now, so that my younger relatives get to play with them and burn themselves too.

I have always wanted to light up fireworks on January 1st. Yeah, that means that I haven't yet. I was a sheltered child and wasn't (and am not) allowed to play with anything flammable. I got to watch the children across the street when I was little, though! They lit so many fireworks and I would just watch them fly up in the air in awe. I can't wait until I get my own place so I can light them up, although they're illegal where I live ;;.

I hadn't expected to set off any fireworks, but my friend actually brought some and we set off tons of firecrackers, bottle rockets, and the like. I know you're not supposed to hold bottle rockets in your hands, but it's hard not to when you look so much like Harry Potter doing it. :P

My family loves to shoot off fireworks on Independence Day and sometimes New Year's. We didn't shoot any off this year, but there were more than enough shooting around the neighborhood. xD

Although, on my birthday, July 5th, we shoot fireworks off then, because it's the day after Independence Day.
