    I'm a pokemon collector looking for a better trading platform. I am a mediocre gamer, and I have recently been having tournaments at my house for the last month; it has really sparked my interest in becoming a better trainer!

    Ahh, we got another trader! Well we have an awesome Trade Plaza with some people who have some amazing shinies and other great Pokemon, so make sure you give that a look. We also have a great Video Games section with some awesome people running it, so there is always something to talk about. As well as some PC tournaments if you're into Star Craft and stuff!

    Check out the Trade Plaza for all your trading needs, as River stated. It has quick trade threads at the top that you can use to trade whatever you want! So if you're trading legendaries or Pokemon bank-transferred mons, you'd check the legendary/event/pokebank trade thread while if you want IV Pokemon, you'd look at the IV/Egg move trade thread. There are more over there so those are just examples - poke around and you'll see everything you need.

    But anyway, welcome to the forum, Kenokenner! I'll be wishing you lots of luck with your trading journey and hope you enjoy PC as much as we all do. Lots of us love trading here so you'll find plenty of people to trade with and make friends.. and if you're into battling don't forget the Battle Center, of course. Be sure to stop by and discuss X and Y over at our Pokemon X & Y board, too! The more new faces the merrier.

    Hey thanks for the quick response! I'll be sure to browse the areas. Could you link some of the rules/bann-able offenses? I think this forum seems to be better off than some of the other I've joined, and I would hate to break a rule without knowing!
    Also, is cloning looked down upon?

    If you were looking for all the rules there's a handy link on the header that says "Rules/FAQ". Simple as that, it'll tell you what all the rules are and what you shouldn't do, plus every individual section here as well also has their own rules so check those out when you can as well. But aside from that, Sheep has definitely got you covered by showing the Trade Corner section to you. The regulars there are very active and there's some helpful advice you can get over there, and I do hope you have fun settling in both there and on the forums in general.

    And of course the Pokemon game sections are worth checking out as well because discussing the games in general is also something many tend to come for. I do hope you can make some new friends and given the friendliness of the community that shouldn't be too hard.

    Hiya, keno! <3 Aye, the trading community here is pretty good, so, I also recommend heading on over to the Trade Corner for that! As the people already said above me, you can check out the local quick trading threads, and the trade shops, as well as the trader reviews section if you would like to find out about really reliable traders on the forum, who can give you a good idea on the types of traders you'll encounter.

    I hope that all helps you out on your trading! Ah, and tournaments sound really cool! I used to play competitive pokemon with my friends a lot, but, never really had official tournaments before. Anyways, welcome to the forums, and I hope you'll have fun! PC is filled with great members, who I hope that you'll be able to meet and befriend them soon! I'll be most happy to befriend you someday too! <3

    Thanks everyone for such awesome responses! I've already had some pretty rad experiences in my first 24 hours. I managed to join a free 10 legendary thread and it only took a good nights sleep to wake up to a trainer willing to help out with some philanthropy of her own. I'm extremely impressed! Looking forward to some more trading, and if anyone needs anything just PM me!
