Anime/Manga Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!

Ew. This reeks of "trying too hard to be good."

[PokeCommunity.com] Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!

EditSynopsis
The life of Satou Kazuma, a hikikomori who likes games, all too soon came to an end because of a traffic accident... It was supposed to, but when he woke up, a beautiful girl who called herself a goddess was in front of his eyes.

"Hey, I have got something a little nice for you. Wanna go to another world? You can take only one thing of your choice along with you."

"...then I'll take you."

From here on, the great adventure of subjugating the Demon King will begin for the reincarnated Kazuma... Or so one would think, but it's the labor for obtaining food, clothing and shelter that begins! Despite Kazuma wanting to live in peace, the goddess keeps causing problems one after another, and eventually, they attract the attention of the Demon King's army!?

It's Studio Deen. You know it won't be any good... also this anime reminds me of my favorite thing, Kagerou Project, combined with Danmachi, I don't know how to feel about it.

Konosuba! A cute little parody series. Go in expecting a couple of cheap laughs, you'll probably be golden. If I'm remembering correctly, the best stopping point would be Volume 3? You could go Volume 5, but that's pushing it. This is Deen though, so... (but if we're going to Volume 5, one of scummiest things Kazuma does, is going to be animated lmao.)

On regards to Studio Deen, expect animated hiccups. Which you can already see happening in the first episode. But, comedy is the driving factor here, not action. I'm expecting the comedy to be mostly on point, since we both the director and script-writer for the adaptation on Kore was Zombie Desu Ka, on helm. Going back to the animation though, I think really only one scene in particular deserves any form of effort, even then, it's not a real issue.

>Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka.
>One of my faves.

I take back everything I said.

I honestly didn't know it was DEEN.

Color me incredibly surprised. I didn't notice anything crappy at all! Loved the first episode, in fact! Looks like danmachi but comedy focused. Which is great. As long as it manages to make me laugh as much as the first episode did, I'm sold.

Good going, Deen.

Wait, so it's really a good Deen? o.O

It is the source. Seems comedy oriented so there's not much margin for Deen to screw it up. It doesn't really require them to go all out since there's (maybe little to) no action in there lol.

Either way, nothing looked out of place in the first episode. Like I said, I only came to know it was a DEEN work after I had already seen the first episode and really liked it. :p So I guess I'd say that yes, it is a good Deen. At least the first episode points to that. :D

Ew. This reeks of "trying too hard to be good."
You're trying too hard to make it look bad, I'd say. :p I kid, I kid. But yeah, as shit as the premise may sound, it actually ended up going against all of my expectations - I like it! Even more than half of the other shows I picked up this season! XD;

Just watch it. Give it a go. It is pretty damn funny. Pokes fun at this genre of anime - the fantasy world setting that's all the rage these days. And manages to do it well.

Also, LE GASP, DEEN IS ACTUALLY MAKING THIS LOOK GOOD. I'm not kidding. Episode 2 had great animation. The explosion looked great, short as the shot may have been. <3

The uselessness of all the females despite them being overpowered in stats make the irony so much more enjoyable. And it isn't even beating around the bush - we already have the entire gang assembled within two episodes.

This is definitely a thumbs up from me. For now, at least. Looking forward to episode 3!

I am watching it, actually.
I think this anime is great at what it's trying to do, and I love it. It's much more fun than Danmachi, and I'm actually enjoying it as much as I enjoyed Sankarea awhile back. Episode two was an interesting take on the show, and I'm going to keep trying.

Also, Aqua is waifu.

Heck, this is actually good o.O

I should have believed in AmaSora =D
So, does this change things? Do you view DEEN in a better light now? :b

I sure do. With this and Rakugo, DEEN has two of the best shows going on this season. Though to be frank, I wouldn't exactly go so far as to call KonoSuba "best" but it easily the funniest while Rakugo definitely is looking like quality material. So, go DEEN, I suppose? XD; They've found their new wind - gotta ride that and keep it up. :p

Anyway, I can't wait to see what the blonde girl brings into the picture. Also super curious about that drastic expression shift of hers in the last scene of the 2nd episode. She's definitely gonna be another odd-ball! And I'll love it, I just know it! XD;

The description for the show was really misleading, and worked out great. I can't wait to see more quests happen.
Yeah, the description is misleading. Now that we've seen the series, we know what they intended for that synopsis to convey - that this is a silly take on the fantasy setting and not something completely serious. But the description somehow manages to make it sound more serious than that XD; I mean, what with the Demon King's army being mentioned and whatnot.

I'm just glad I didn't put off watching this because of that. I went in expecting something like Log Horizon but got a really cute comedy instead. Not disappointed. At all. :D

Um...
Um...
Um...

Nah, I just like Ten-chan :D
Naw, you're just being tsundere now. XD;

This is a really, really faithful adaptation so far. Like, we're pretty much going one chapter = one episode. If this pacing keeps up - and if there is only ten episodes planned - we'll probably be looking at ending the series with Volume 2.

If only Konosuba kept HanaKana (well, not confirmed yet and probably won't be for awhile) for one of the characters. The inner conflict of Satoshi would be boiling even further, lol.

I heard this is actually good, should I trust what I heard?
It is a good comedy. At least 2 episodes into it, it doesn't fail to make me laugh. Characters are endearing and deen didn't fuck up on the art and animation like they usually do. So yes, I'd say. :)
