    Lapras.. a water/ice type. ^_^

Has anyone noticed how Lapras can learn very peculiar moves? It's always been able to learn electric attacks (Thunder, Thunderbolt, Shock Wave), but in FR/LG, it can also learn Psychic, which is something a lot of people don't pick up on.

Psychic is very useful for Fighting type Pokemon but I don't have a problem with that.

Ya know I've always found it odd how a Water type can use Electric type moves. Like Starmie being able to use Thunderbolt and such...totally caught be off gaurd this one time I faced Misty in my Silver version...XD

If you look at it in a different perspective, a Pokemon, like any "living" creature, learns to adapt to its environment. It kind of revolves around the natural selection theory. Through environmental changes and habitual traits and such, the Pokemon could learn new moves to be able to adapt and survive. >/

...Or...something like that that anyway. XD

Think eels...it's not that implausible a notion >D

    Not only that
1.)Lombre and Ludicolo can learn Thunderpunch
    2.)gyarados can learn Thunderpunch
    3.)Lapras can learn shockwave
    4.)Wingull can learn Shockwave
    5.)Pelipper can learn Shockwave
6.)Barboach can learn Spark through breeding (weird)
7.)Staryu and Starmie can learn Thunder

Gyarados can't learn Thunderpunch as it has no arms. You meant to say Thunderbolt/Thunder/Thunder Wave.

LOL Thats what I meant to say

I think it's weird that Wingull/Pelipper can learn Shock Wave. I didn't even know that they could. o_O

But Lapras having Psychic is an advantage against fighting like Dark Venusaur said, since it's partly ice.

Can Golduck learn Psychic? I think in my Ruby version I tried to teach mine Psychic but it wasn't able to learn it.

Lol try to picture a Gyarados trying to use thunderpunch..gah anyway, it's not so strange to see a water type with electric attacks. The two go hand in hand. But a water type with like..let's see..actually..water goes great with all type attacks..maybe not ground-no Whishcash..hmm..

But spark for a Barboach/Whiscash is very useful against Water types since it is part Ground you know

Whooper can learn Ice Punch, and its not an Ice type, nor does it have arms.

I dont think its that wierd, because its helpful, like how kyogre can learn thunder, and it always hits.

Mostly all pokemon can learn moves taht aren't of their type, if they couldn't then battles would be boring and difficult
