Laptop troubles. x_x

I;m having trouble with my laptop. See, whenever I try to rip CDs and add them as songs for my winamp player... it shuts down. Like, it just crashes or if I go on gaming sites and play games, it does the same.

Other times it has down this, I'll admit its gotten hot but it did it just a while ago and it was barely even close to warmth and it crashed. This was browsing around on Disney out of boredom. D:

So... does anyone have a solution for this?

hmmm thats a wierd prob try playing and ripping ur cds with other players like jetaudio or windows media player 11???btw which os are u using?

I use windows XP and also, I DO use Windows Media Player. I used Windows Media Player to rip the songs and then put them in Winamp because I like winamp better. (I have this Axel skin that I REALLY adore)

How old is the machine? It could be dying. Most laptops last a maximum of 3-4 years.

I was going to say it was a CD-drive driver issue... but you mentioned that other crash, so it's probably not that.

Could be hard drive failure. I'd back everything important up, just in case.

Once everything is backed up, you may want to just re-install Windows and see if it fixes your crashing problem (up to you, but I'd do it). You'll also probably see a noticeable performance increase if you do (unless it is hard drive failure, then you'll probably just see a bunch of random crashes).

I figured out what it was. It was the cooling fan underneath it that stopped work so I got a new one and its fine now. :3
