I enjoy reading this thread a bunch and I like the people who frequent it, so if I'm away for a while doing Aisaka things and I have notifications for it, I'll read what I missed. Especially if someone quotes me.

Speaking of which, PokeGuy, nice to meet you(?), how's it going?

You've got a pretty high post count for being a new account, welcome to the forums! Do you usually just hang around stuff like forum games or other places? I don't think I've seen you around much besides this thread and... uhh, the other one. Whichever one that is.

Haven't come down with that yet, but just cause VPP has seemed confusing when I took a dip into it earlier, I'm sure it's really not. But hey if I get to see more of Roni, VPP sickness sounds pretty alright.~
 
oh absolutely you'll be seeing more of Roni <3 i'm still in procrastination mode rn so i won't leave for another 20 mins or so lmao.

and yea no you can make VPP as basic or as complicated as you want really. it's just about raising your desired Pokemon by posting around the forums. all the Challenges and Medals and stuff are purely bonus things you don't ever need to get into if you don't want to :))
 
I know I'm a few minutes late responding to this, but how about a quick back and forth before you have to go, if you'll be around for a while?

That's reassuring to know, it reminds me of whatever bot there used to be on Discord where you'd catch Pokemon and send messages to level them up. I pretty much ignored all the other stuff but I enjoyed having some that I caught and levelled up.

ah dang i didn't know there was such a thing as that on discord. i literally only recently got into it bcs i never saw the appeal all that much. convos go by really fast in big servers lol.
 
We have, I kinda only asked 10 minutes in and then we took it to other threads, haha.

I've been on instant messengers and chat sites pretty much my whole life so I found it easy to get into myself. I tend to stay away from a lot of the big servers though, and I'll usually just have some smaller ones with friends. It's usually hard to get into popular servers for me, I'll get really nervous and I'll feel like it's hard to keep up, so I totally get what you mean.
 
i've stuck with messenger and twitter dm's for instant communication for a long time, and it's hard to keep track of all the new kinds of variations of it popping up literally everywhere lol. discord seems to have really snappy servers tho, so i understand why they stand out.

i'm also same more or less. i'm only in like 7 discord servers rn: 2 PC ones, my high school friends' private one, and 4 romhack ones that i literally don't check anymore lmao.
 
Usually I'll be surprised if social media doesn't have some kind of direct messaging feature. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, all that stuff has them. Half the reason I join big servers is for the emotes, then I just don't talk in them, whoops.

This reminded me I'm in the PC discord but I just never talk anymore. I showed up for 2 days, and while everyone was really kind to me I just felt like everyone had already been there for so long that it was hard to actually get myself in there? I'm really only very talkative in two of them, and occasionally I'll just kinda lurk in wherever. If either of you are in there you can ping me and give me a shout though, I won't mind.

ahh emotes yeah. you need nitro for that right? i'm on basic right now so i can't relate lol.

oh i didn't even know you'd already joined there damn. for sure tho the veterans are already pretty experienced with the place, but that don't mean they don't welcome newbies! that's literally how i felt a few weeks ago when i first joined, and now i'm sorta a bit more comfortable chatting there. though ye i'm too embarrased to ping you in #general bcs everyone's definitely gonna be like "what"
