The render is placed well, but it doesn't suit the theme. All of it is good, except the background, which I would change to some smudging instead.

What program do you use? Photoshop CS3 Extended

What does C4D stand for? 4 Dimensions or something like that

Do you know what a C4D is? Yes but I've never used one in a banner

Do you know how to smudge? Yes

What is a brush? A Photoshop tool XD. You can download additional ones online.

What is a gradient overlay? No idea what it actually is but I have tried to use it before.

What is a pattern overlay? Is that like scanlines and grids?

What is an adjustment layer? Dunno

The three things highlighted in red are the main things you need to know about for maximum complexity. (Complexity = BEAUTY!)

We all use Adobe Photoshop, CS2 or CS3, so I doubt I will be able to help you. o.O

Well it is my first banner ever which I edited using advice in the Graphics Rating Thread.
I will get to the other assignments ASAP.
 
For a first banner, it's pretty good! The text is placed nicely. The only thing that I would change would be the colours.

What program do you use? - Photoshop CS3 Extended

 Do you know what a C4D is? - It is an abstract shape or picture.

 Do you know how to smudge? - Yes as shown in Assignment #1. v2

 What is a brush? - A tool used to decorate backgrounds or add effects in a banner. They are downloadable online i.e: Deviantart.

 What is a gradient overlay? - A gradient Map which uses colours to change the look of a picture/banner.

 What is a pattern overlay? - A patter such as crinkled paper / checks used to make the background or picture look different.

 What is an adjustment layer? - Changes the way a layer looks i.e: Overlay, Dissolve, Multiply or Screen.
