What are holidays?

No, really, aside from Christmas, I don't really celebrate anything, so I can't say I like or dislike one. At least Christmas is good because there's a time you can spend with your family. (Actually, because of the turkey and the presents)

I don`t celebrate Independance Day since I`m Canadian, so, I guess it`s my least favorite Holiday... =|

Eh, probably St. Patrick's Day. Not cuz I don't like it, but hardly any of the people I know celebrate it.

Plus, I don't like the idea of random people coming up to you and pinching you just because you're not wearing green. If a total stranger did that, I'd give them this, "Dude... what the heck?" look. If one my friends did that, I'd smack them upside the head.

I realized just now that I love most Holidays, but.. I guess Valentine's day is my least favorite? I don't like watching TV and seeing kissing people on jewelry commercials every other second x_x I don't give Valentine's anyway.

How did the Feast Day of two martyrs become associated with romance and giant teddy bears?

*needs to Wiki that*

A little thing called commercialism and comercialization, that's how.;) Valentine's also happens to be one of my least favorites, if not my least favorite, because my brother's birthday occurs 4 days before that.

Saint Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day is a holiday on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other; sending Valentine's cards or candy. It is very common to present flowers on Valentine's Day. The holiday is named after two men, both Christian martyrs among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

I LOVE all those holidays, soo....something I don't celebrate, how about that, like a Jewish holiday or something. XD I obviously have nothing against them, no, I just...am not one, so...o_O

So it's the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer, huh?

...

I can live with that explanation. :333

I'll be bitter and say Valentine's Day.

Also, we don't have Independence Day here, but we do have a national day. I hate it with the fury of over nine thousand suns. One person around here had the Australian flag upside down, though, which is probably illegal. It made last year's Australia Day bearable. xD

Ummys... Probobly St. Patrick's Day, nobody really
truely celebrates it here.

I've never been a big fan of Valentine's day. It always yanked my collar because I, myself, just simply don't like publicized romantic things.

I'm not too much a type that will go, "Aww" at a couple kissing on the street, but more of a, "I want to point and humiliate that couple." bully type thing. Wok.
...And the crazy amounts of pink and red dancing around everywhere! Urgh! And the silly 'ilu' cards and the parties and games in school and the... Candy.
That's the only thing I pretty much like about that day. Candy from friends. Hrhr. 8}

Thanksgiving comes second. I usually don't like the food being served, especially in the cafeteria. Its only purpose in our family is just sit to around together and eat... Which I don't like doing extremely muchly.
