2nd Gen Legendary birds in Gold ?

I was wondering if there's a way to catch the 3 legendary birds in Pokemon Gold.
There's this guy in the game who tells that there are three birds,so maybe that's a sign that they're maybe in the game?

Nope, sorry, the three legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres) aren't anywhere to be caught in G/S/C. You need to trade them from a first gen. game (Red/Blue/Yellow).

You can also trade with a G/S/C that has the birds or use cheats. (I don't recommend you do that.)
