Legendary Genders?

Although I don't support breeding of the legendaries in game... I still enjoy assigning genders for them. Ironic? *borrows someone else's legendary list*

Articuno - Female
Zapdos - Male
Moltres - Male or Female?
Mewtwo - Male
Mew - Female
Raikou - Male
Entei - Male
Suicune - Female
Lugia - Male
Ho-oh - Male
Celebi - Female
Regi's - Neutral
Latios - Male
Latias - Female
Kyogre - Male
Groudon - Male
Rayquaza - Male
Jirachi - Male
Deoxys - Neutral
Mespirit - Female
Uxie - Male
Azelf - Male
Dialga - Male
Palkia - Male
Heatran - Either
Giratina - Male
Cresselia - Female
Phione - Female
Manaphy - Female
Darkrai - Male
Shaymin - Female
Arceus - Male

I think most of mine are males in this list... o_o;

I always figured most of them males due to me being slightly biased to female pokemon being strong.
My list is: Mewtwo, Mew, Arceus, 3 dogs, 3 regis, girtinia, 3 birds, deoxys, dialga, palkia, darkrai, celbi, latios, jirachi

and the rest are girls.

Articuno - Female

Heatran - Male
Giratina - Male
Cresselia - Female
Phione - Female
Manaphy - Male
Darkrai - Male
Shaymin - Female
Arceus - Male

I know Heatran could be both, but I always think of it as a male.

And as for Palkia, I just think of Dialga being male and Palkia is its 'female counterpart'... or whatever. :\

With exception to Latias and Latios, I can only see legendaries as genderless unless they start to put the little symbols there. I should think one reason they're genderless is so the younger children don't become disillusioned or argue or something.

Am I the only one who thinks of Ho-Oh as female?

I always believe that there are more than one of each legendary and that they can be either gender but there can only be one grown up that dominates control of whatever it is it controls:

Moltres: Sun
Zapdos: Lightning
Articuno: Snow
Ho Oh: Day
etc.

except for latios and latias who are brother and sister and work differently

I don't want to be sexist, but most of the Legendaries look Male to me. It's weird how Regis can have a gender! Some actually look female, though. However, some look like they are actually genderless! That may be because I haven't heard them speak... or because they don't look masculine or feminine, they just look animalistic, without a gender... It just seems like assigning genders to certain Pokemon would be wrong...

I think there is more than one of each legendary except mew two because it is man made. There are some evidence that Lugia breed which should mean that all the other legendaries breed too.

They probably made them genderless so they couldn't breed in the game or something.
I think they are sort of like phoenixes, and just are reborn after they die...Other than the ones assigned genders, of course.

Since Lugia had a kid, I'd say there's a mom and a pop, but I always saw Lugia as more masculine.
The birds are females in my eyes, including Ho-oh, because they have vivid colors that remind me of girls. But, usually birds in RL that have beautiful plumage are male, to attract the ladies...So, it could go either way.

To be honest, I couldn't care less about whether or not they put the little gender sign next to the names... Anyway, if they did it would probably just make people argue and would upset some people.

I like it that you can just decide for yourself this way.

In a genderless pokemon, anything "cute" or "majestic" would generally be considered female to me. That is: Articuno, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Latias (obviously), Uxie/Mesprit (can be either I guess), and Shaymin. I'll generally refer to the others as male.

For me:
Articuno - Female
Zapdos - Male
