Personally, I don't like using Legendary pokemon on my team, because to me, it kinda ruins the fantasy; It seems odd that a random trainer would have a one of a kinda, god like pokemon on his or her team.

That's just me, obviously others would disagree, but what's your opinion?

I might use them if I like them or just have an urge to use one on my team. I tend to not like using them though, or at least not having more than one on my team. But I'm not opposed to using them. I don't think it takes the fun out of things. I'm always overleveled, and one might think that takes the fun out of it. It's just how I like to play. No biggie to me.

I use them sometimes, I mean why catch them if you are not going to use them at least a little bit!

I don't use them as often myself but I do make exceptions sometimes if they're not overly powerful like with Zapdos, Azelf, or Regice for example.

Some legendaries don't live up to their powerful reputation, like Articuno and Entei. Some are strong enough to do well, but not as well as the rest, like Terrakion.

As for me, yes, I do use legendaries on my team. I primarily use the mascot on my team because it's my tradition to do so. Sometimes I include a member of a legendary trio instead.

I don't catch them for this very reason. As sadistic as this is probably going to sound, I actually take great joy from making legendary Pokemon faint. For one thing, it removes all of the stress and strain involved in catching them (especially if you don't have the Master Ball). Indeed, I find that as more and more of them are created for each generation, diminishing returns sets in faster and faster. I like some legendary Pokemon (Articuno, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Latios, Cobalion...) but still wouldn't really think to use them in a team for whatever reason.

Welllllllll......Actually, my first PKMN Sapphire team was: Swampert, Latias, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Salamence, and Metagross (three legend, three normal). So......When I was a kid, I guess I did like to put legends in my team (just cuz they pwn EVERYTHING). But now, I just like to experiment with RU/NUs, just to see how far I go.

I used to just treat them like any other Pokemon; if I liked a particular legendary, I'd freely use it in my team. However, recently, I keep thinking that using one might make playing through the games easier, even if that's not likely to be the case, so I just catch the plot-required legendaries, and ignore the rest. I do, on occasion, use one as an HM slave, though.

I do not judge legendary pokemon with prejudice. The term legendary is virtually meaningless in battle. Pseudo legendaries tend to be stronger! I judge them based on their base stats. Base stats typically tell me everything I need to know about them. If they look too high compared to other great pokemon, I won't use them. If they seem to be, at best, in the league of other great pokemon, I'll treat them like any other.

Honestly, I'm not in much of a position to give my opinion. I haven't used a legendary in about eight years. Needless to say, I wasn't nearly as good as battling then as I am now. With the release of Black and White 2, I plan on doing competitive battles now that I have Wi-Fi and so accordingly I may decide to use some legendary Pokémon.

I use them to blow off through the game, ya know to finish it faster, I normally don't use them because because it's kinda like an over kill.

I don't really mind using them story-wise. I mean, I'm one hell of a trainer, apparently, so if I've caught legendaries, I should be allowed to use them. But... usually by the time you get one, you've already built your team so there isn't really room for it. And if you do have room for it (ie only had a team of 5 through the game because of your HM slave), it doesn't really match your team. I dunno, I find them a bit too overpowered and they aren't very interesting to me. They start out all powerful and I didn't raise them myself so it feels like cheating.

I like legendaries but I wouldn't really use them to battle since they're caught so late game that there's not really much of a point, plus a lot of legendaries are ubers so even so I wouldn't use them in wifi even if I did because I'd feel like that's too much of an advantage. :x
