Let's make some babies!!! ...I mean Baby Pokemon!

    So lately I've been working on filling up my Pokedex, and it's making me look at a lot of pokemon that I haven't really looked at in a long time.
    For example I was finishing up getting the Dex entry for Fearow, and I said to myself, I wish there was a lot more going on with Fearow. I personally didn't think it really needs to evolve again, and then when I thought maybe it needs a Mega Evolution, that idea didn't sit well with me either.
    When I looked at Spearow a little bit better, I thought, it already looks like a full grown bird, but not much like a hatchling. I thought Spearow would probably be a great candidate for having a Baby Pokemon.

    So what pokemon do you guys think would be great candidates for having Baby pokemon?
    Also as a bonus, if the pokemon you choose were to have a baby form, what would be the reason for including the baby form, would you include a special set of moves to its move pool to convince people to breed for it, or maybe something else?

    But really, there's not a whole lot of Pokemon lines I can imagine needing baby forms, though maybe it could work with some of the single-stage ones like say Tropius or Audino or something.

    Tropius is actually a pokemon I've thought would be a pretty cool candidate for having a baby pre-evolution. Another one that came to mind was I always thought Likitung could have a pretty adorable baby. I sort of imagine it being a small fuzzy pink ball that sits on its tongue which would be double the size of the actual pokemon.

    I hate baby Pokemon. Or well, I hate the idea of them. I know that there are always going to be Pokemon that are weak for a reason, and that's okay. But baby Pokemon are almost always obnoxious as hell to obtain. Needing some crazy breeding method for it. And if it's not a weird breeding method, then it's a weird evolution method. I think the only baby Pokemon safe from those two staples of the group are some of the OG babies from gen II. But overall, idk. They just seem like Dex filler -- annoying Dex filler, at that.

    If I had to choose an existing Pokemon for a baby to exist for though, probably Absol or Audino. I do like the idea of momma Absol with a smol babby. And Audino is pink. Isn't it against the religion of pink Pokemon to not have a baby form?

    No. Lickitung being in the game is bad enough, it getting a cross-gen evolution is even worse - a baby? Let's not make the situation any stupider than it absolutely needs to be.

    Anyways, excluding some of those already mentioned in the thread obviously, I'd like to see baby forms go to Doduo, Onix, Sentret, Girafarig, Blitzle, Durant, Heatmor and Hawlucha. The last one is debatable because Hawlucha's kinda small already. A lot of large single-evolution Pokémon, as well as Pokémon that don't evolve, could make use of them, but these are my top picks. Especially babby Onix. smol rock snek. Baby Duduo could also just have one head, making it the only thing in that evolutionary family that doesn't look ridiculous.

    In any case cross-gen evolutions seem to be a done deal, we haven't gotten any more in two generations, as far as I know. Pretty sure that's the case. It's unlikely that any of these will ever happen :(

    I think several Pokémon should have baby Pokémon, but they shouldn't be needed, but more of a Tamagotchi sort of way. I agree, let's eat baby Pokémon.

    Dang that hurt Rainbow... I love Likitung... oh well, you're not the first person I've known to hate on Likitung, so it's all good. I also assume, that you meant to type "Babies" instead of "Mega Evolution". lol

    Even if they don't make any new cross gen babies, there's still room in this thread for hopes and dreams! :D
    Also you never know if a ROM Hacker might stumble into this thread and borrow some of our ideas for the purpose of making new baby pokemon in their own game. Can't completely give up hope because there is always some possibility in the future no matter how small. :P
