4th Gen Level Cap For Pokemon in D/P

They based kinda like what happend in FR/LG, where after you beat the elite four everyone becomes harder. The elite four also get a lot stonger.

What I think is that they could put an item in the game that anyone can find, that you can give to a Pokemon of you're choice that will let it go to a higher level than 100, for people who want more levels. And, so people who think lv.100 is fine just don't have to use the item.

that sounds lik it would work best for the poke plsyers and not the little kids who dont o what hey r doin :)

What are you talking about??? You can't trade Pokemon back to Emerald and the other games once you've entered them into Pal Park.

O.o What I'm talking about is you said "Also, D and P mark the end of Pokemon games on the GBA I think, so in this case it would fit on the cartridge, seeing how much the DS cartridges can hold (TONS)."

My response was that Diamond and Pearl are not on the GBA but on the DS. What any of this has to do with trading, I have no clue...
If you're talking about "no other game has levels over 100," I wasn't referring only to Pokemon, but any game. My point was, I cannot think of a single game in which you can get above level 100. I should have made myself clearer.
But getting back on the topic at hand, I think Wooper's idea would be good. That way, the level cap stays at 100, unless you choose to raise it. And you don't inadvertantly level it up.

this is the last game of pokemon on game boy so it wont happen for the game boy BUT, they are going to make games for the wii so we could see this happen sometime in the near future, an yes u can trade pokemon between games just not on wi fi.

I hope you know, everyone, that raising the level cap throws the whole strategy of pokemon off, it makes attacks stronger than they need to be, give pokemon that have low hp more hp than that of last generation, and throws everything out of whack really. (imagine a lvl 175 mewtwo =/)

If you make only one of those pokemon go to level 175, of couse Wi-Fi is going to be flooded with dudes that have a level 175 Darkrai that uses Dark Hall and then you're screwed basicly.

As mentioned before in this thread, they should put on difficulty levels so that older gamers and young ones can enjoy it together, instead of some people thinking its too hard and the other half thinking its too easy.

he said D/P MARKS the end of Pokemon games on the GBA, and by saying this, he has said nothing untrue. because D/P is on the DS, it's safe to assume that no future Pokemon games will be for GBA. that simple.

There's no need to raise the level cap. If it's a challenge your looking for, go back to the days of G/S/C and play the Battle Tower. THAT was way to much of a challenge, more like next to impossible. Or, do the Starter Only Challenge.

The level cap of 100 is fine, and there's no real need to change it. The balance of the game would be thrown off completely, and would most likely kill the whole reason for Wi-Fi. We already have to face the threat of hacked pokemon popping up via AR and Codebreaker and such, so let's now ruin the whole experence.

100 is fine as is, its like finishing the pokemons training 100 percent. Nintendo put it like that because it perfectly suits the game since there are over 300 pokemon to train, if it was 200 max then people would have like only 3 in their entire chldhood pokemon lives.

XDD, I could so see myself doing that.

As for the difficulty levels, that's why D/P allows Wi-Fi battlers to choose Open Level, lv50, or lv100. What I'm wondering is if Pokemon that have their levels temporarily raised include EV distribution in the temporary stat gains.

they ahould have lvl 50 lvl 75 lvl 1oo and elite lvls like 175 to battle on wi fi if that what u would like and i think that will work better fr all of the people who like to have long hard battles lke my self, but if they did do that i thimk there might be a little less confusion for the younger audience as we talked aabout eariler in the thread so they could just play an get to lvl 100 but if we hav wi fi we shoul get to battler as more elite better pokemon

You can talk and sling suggestions all day, but the fact of the matter is that the cap is 100 and I don't foresee it raising anytime soon. Learn to deal.

im just sayin that it would be cool if the cap lvl was raised for wi fi for us to battle each other on a much higher scale to have alt of fun.

Those who do their research may just discover that Diamond and Pearl only take up one-third to one-fourth of a Nintendo DS card's data. Hence, one must point out your findings as false.

No, they shouldn't change the level cap, I mean seriously, most Pokemon learn all their moves by level 80 and well all it is doing after that is raising their stats by two or three points, kinda pointless to make the level cap higher if you ask me, 100 is good. And the majority of players, hardcore or not will agree, there is only a few people that don't, because imo, trying to get a Pokemon to level 170 if they've learned all their moves by level 80 would probably tend to get boring. I don't know, but I think the level cap is fine as it is.

And battles won't change that much besides needing more experience to get their, you'll just have players with level 175 Legendaries instead of level 100, rather pointless if you ask me.

im not sayin raise it for D/P since the game is already out in Japan and in a few weeks here, im sayin for like the games that come out on the wii

no because PBR is already out in Japan, which means that the base 100 level is already set

but it is still gonna be a long time for it to come out here so we can make them jealus and play with higer lvl pokemon :)
