I'm on rn idk the best way to go about trading I'm still new to the game.

Cool, you'll first want to make sure your game is in Online mode, then you'll need to go into the Poke Portal menu, click on the Link Trade button, set the link code to whatever you like,
then tell whoever you want to trade with the code you set (me in this case) and then hit Begin Searching.
