In "Kon~"-centered news: The day SoulSilver arrives in the UK is the exact same say my school breaks up for Easter, and also the day I plan to tell my friends about my sexuality.

I laughed at your post. Indeed, I noticed most of the users here are gay, but I don't think it's because of the Pokemon itself, it's more likely that Pokemon attracts people from this segment. I know many straight people (like me) that like Pokemon games, they are just good.

Of course you're going to see a lot of LGBT people in a LGBT thread. I mean, that's like going to a reptile house and asking where the giraffes are.

Yeah, but you're not being repressed by not openly and drastically announcing your sexual preference to everyone you meet. I could be bi or gay, or perhaps I'm straight. Unless I'm looking for a date, it really makes no difference if I don't chose to inform people of my preference.

There's nothing wrong with being straight, bi, gay, a transsexual, etc... I just don't see the point of announcing it constantly, or on forums.

I play WoW, and you have no idea how many times on their forums, someone will start a thread about "LGBT Friendly Guilds / Servers." Of course, a huge debate happens after that. However, you don't need to be around, or share, your sexual preference in order to get along with other people, or to play a video game.

Well, I don't support everything he stated, but if you see how popular this topic is and how many users indeed are gay here, you can't deny he has a point. It's no problem.

If you don't want to talk about your orientation that's your choice, but if you don't want to talk about what we're talking about why are you in here telling us not to talk about it?

This thread is in the Other Chat section where people talk about everything under the sun that isn't Pokemon or something that has a board already. Hardly anything on PC needs to be there. This is here because we want it to be here, because we want to talk about things that are LGBT-related and that's a good enough reason to have it.

That's not exactly something to admit to. Drug dealing is extremely low, providing substance for people whose lives have been ruined and overtaken by them. I really don't care if it would upset them, as it is a horrible, terrible thing to do and that's without even mentioning that it's highly illegal and your friends are most definately in the wrong.

As has been said, this is a LBGT thread, not one to discuss drug-users and -dealers, so please could you stop bringing it back up with statements that, in MY opinion, are rather silly.

Well earlier you where whinging because some Christians find gay people as horrible, terrible things. What gives you the right to judge drug dealers without knowing what they may of gone through or why they deal? Personally this is exactly the elitism I was talking about.

Excuse me, but there's a huge difference between religion and drug dealing. At least most parts of Christianity are about helping people, all drug dealers are doing, regardless of WHY they are doing it, is supplying the drugs for users, which CLEARLY is not a good thing.

Actually, addicts rely on drugs similar to the way we rely on things. Drug dealers are just helping them feel good. I wasn't slamming Christians btw, I was slamming this thread because Ice Sage is actually absolutely right, I didn't say it before because people like you would of waved the homophobia flag and e-ganged up on me and gosh knows what.
 
For the people who are all 'zomg why are you going around announcing your preference/ orientation to people', for some of us here, this forum and the internet are the only places where we can talk about it, for fear of being cast out by our friends/ family. On the 'net there's that anonymity where we can talk to anyone and it doesn't matter if they accept or reject us because they don't know who we are. There's no risk in saying it. /:

That's how I feel, anyway, though I understand that everyone has their own opinion.

Just because dealers are helping addicts feel good, doesn't mean they're doing any actual good in the world.

And the thread ISN'T for just announcing what you are. It's for discussion of problems that LGBT people face each day that are irrelevant to straight people, as well as to let LGBT people know that they're not alone in their situations. Just because some people are homophobic towards us, and we respond by telling them that we do not appreciate it, doesn't certify it as "e-ganging up" on them.

Just because Christians think they're helping people doesn't mean they're doing good either. Do you actually know many dealers or addicts? I do, and for one of my closer firends dealing isn;t what he wanted to end up doing, but he has to to get by and he is always getting put down by judgemental monsters like you.

Problems like that oh so cute guy in college yeah? Or what same sex celebrity you want to do, or how cool it is to be gay? These are all topics I've seen in this thread, and whenever someone like me raises the question about what makes you think you should be treated differently to straight people, you try and push it under the carpet, why is this?
