Lillie's journey [spoilers]

    So I wasn't surprised the Lillie decided to become a Pokemon trainer, but I was surprised that she decided to go to Kanto. What do you think this means for her? What will her starter be? What should her team look like?
     
    Didn't she go to Kanto to look for Bill? Since he was fused with a Pokemon before, she thinks he might have a cure for her mother's current status.

    Wouldn't surprise me if we return to Kanto (again) before going back to Sinnoh.
     
    She didn't say why Kanto specifically, but she may think Bill will be able to help her mother. Professor Blane would also be of great help, I think.
     
    I really think they've left it wide open intentionally to lead on into a third game sequel. It doesn't seem like they're finished just yet and I'm almost certain there will be some sort of follow-up game to Sun & Moon that will focus around Lillie, Lusamine and even Gladion.

It'd be an extremely odd move for Game Freak to omit a third game or even a sequel to Sun and Moon given how many open avenues that they've seemingly (whether it's intentional or not, idk) left for a third game and/or sequel to cover. For example, Lillie can return as an actual full-fledged Trainer and perhaps you can have some sort of battle with her! I think that'd be really cool.

    I can't really speculate what her Kanto journey would be like, other than what's already stated by Wicke (I think) in that the very reason she decided to go to Kanto in the first place is not only to become a Pokemon Trainer but to also visit Bill to see whether or not he can get the UB's poison out of her mother's system, so there's that.

    Yes, exactly. Wicke tells you why Lillie left there, and she tells you it's to be a trainer. I'm betting we go to Kanto in Star.
     
    I get the feeling Lillie is a Bulbasaur person.

    He didn't mention the results of the battle, but he did say Lance was his last opponent. If there was a standing champion, he must have lost.
