So, maybe there's just something I'm doing wrong but when I'm creating a thread, the "Automatically parse links as text" checkbox goes back to being checked every time I preview. Both boxes do it, though the one in the Additional Options section does it less.

What I'm trying to do is make a gallery thread with some css and a url for a background, but when I preview, it re-checks the boxes and puts URL BBCode tags around the url within the CSS. I looked for some master setting in my controls but I guess there isn't one. Is this a bug or am I just an idiot? I'm running Win7 Pro 64bit and the latest version of Chrome.

When you're editing a post in Advanced View, you have to make sure you have the checkmark by "Automatically parse links in text" unselected not only below the post box, but also under the Additional Options down below as well.

I tried both. They were both doing the same thing, rechecking themselves upon preview. Then I'd delete the tags, uncheck both boxes, and try again. Same thing happened.

EDIT: I've been getting it to work some of the time. I guess it's just finicky?

To prevent background CSS from being parsed with URL tags, I'd recommend you to surround their link with apostrophes (by putting one at beginning, and another towards the end). This way, they wouldn't turn into links in any way, regardless if you have the option checked or not. Hope this helps!

Oh thanks! I'll have to remember that in the future :3
