Suggestion: Link to conversation

Okay, I found it annoying when I had a message and it redirects me to my profile only.
Can ya link it to the actual conversation itself, rather than the user profile?

Hello,

When you go on your profile, there should be a link in the bottom right of a visitor message saying "View Conversation", and that leads to a page showing the conversation between you and the member you messaged.

Oh, I know that. I just suggested if they can actually redirect the message notification on the actual conversation, not the user's profile. :3

Ah, sorry, I understood it differently.

Personally, I like being directed to my profile, because otherwise I wouldn't really check it and I would find it less useful. If all my VM notifications took me to the conversations then you and the person messaging you wouldn't be looking at your profile, and there are people that take time making their profiles look good and want them to be seen. I don't really see it as a big issue, however, because it is just one more click to view the conversation. If you do want to have a quick, flowing conversation you could use Skype or something of the sorts.

I agree, Blaziken. It would streamline VMs a bit - those with slow connections wouldn't have to waste time loading another page to reply.

Plus it would stop me posting on my own wall by mistake...

So I spoke too soon about my fears of navigating the database. Looked at its schema, looked at the uncommented code Audy did, figured out what was going on, and did the relevant code change.

Conversations screens generally use whatever formatting the other person in the conversation chose for their profile anyway, so you do still get to see it.
