Here's the idea: you have to (get to?) replace one location in Gen III Hoenn with another location from any other game or generation.

What location do you choose - town, route, other named location?

Do you have reasoning - (you don't like the original area, you think something more could be done with the transferred spot, a certain location would fit better in Hoenn than where it actually exists)?

Think about how the replacement location must be altered to fit into these games (entrances and exits), and what it might mean for gameplay or story (did you swap a gym town for one with a gym leader of equal status? what events normally take place in the area you changed out?).

How many things have to be shuffled to make this work? (You replace Mauville with Olivine - do we still have Rydel's? What happens to the bike path if we don't?)

Finally, does this make the games better? or worse? or just weird? Remember, the transferred location would be subject to canon RSE tilesets and game limitations!

Swaps in Exeggutor Island from Alola for Route 127. Considers a lot of those open water areas uninteresting. Seemed best to insert a new location. Cannot think of any great islands. (Whirl Islands: Too many HMs. Isle of Armor: Too big. Sea Spirit's Den: Empty. Seafoam Islands: Not that interesting.) Serves as a decent way to ground the player a little more. Gets lost in all the open water easily.

More or less exists as an optional place. Contains nothing important to the story (in Hoenn). Probably ought to have something nice at the end, like a flute or held item of some kind. Hopefully gains a little more experience there over what was offered there before. Tends to lag behind in experience in older games.
