    Synopsis

    Veteran gamer Shiroe and other players have been trapped in the world of the online game Elder Tales for six months. The once chaotic city of Akiba has regained its everyday hustle and bustle following the formation of the self-governing organization Round Table Meeting. The earthlings, who are originally from the game world, have gained the trust of Shiroe by waging a defensive war against the Goblins in Zantleaf Region. This has led Princess Rayneshia of the Cowen family, the highest-ranking Earthling Aristocrats, to live in Akiba.

    It's almost winter and the Adventurers are thinking about what they're going to do and what their goals are in this other world. Will they remain in Akiba or go to the city of the West? Or will they travel to the land of the North or another faraway country? The opinions of the Adventurers begin to diverge. What adventures await the members of the Shiroe team in this second series of Log Horizon?

    I'm stoked. Still worried that we only have two volumes readily available to being adapted, especially when this is two cours.

    I've been reading that the core staff from the first season are still present though. So same director and etc. Should be fine, just differences in animation.
     
    I hope the pacing is a little faster than in season 1, and that the opening is also just as great. I would also love for the characters to be able to do more this time around. I'm so ready :]
     
    A new studio, eh? We'll see how this turns out.
    I hope that the OP is good, but nothing can replace DATABASE.
    Obviously looking forward to this. Just faster pacing please?

    Database is staying as OP =D

    As for pacing...
    I don't think there is enough source material for fast pacing...

    Thank god Database is back. The first episode was fairly good. I agree with Magic, I just hope we get more than 10 Episodes. I've been waiting for this :/

    Start of a new season = new theme! Will probably get a better avatar than this.

    And as usual, wondering what Shiroe's up to.

    Nice cold opening, overview of the 3 overlapping storyarcs of Shiroe's raid in the North, Akatsuki in Akiba, and it seems Kanami's GO EAST! Gang. :D

    New design's don't look so bad, Souji looks more mature hehehe. XD

    They kept DATABASE - W00TZ!

    I think William Massachusetts is going to be another fave character, An Archer no less. :3

    I like how Minami and the RTC got a opposite side view of each other in the opening.

    Anyway, looks like Shiroe is going to raid that dungeon that makes gold. 80T is going to be a crazy amount to get. I wonder what he'll use it for. O.O

    They're cramming 3 volumes (We see Shiroe's Alt Roe2 in the opening) and Kanami's GO EAST! Side story. (Which IMO is actually more important plot and world building wise)

    I expected a lot more from this first episode. The intro was awkward, for one. The OP kind of fell apart too. Database didn't really match well with the new PV.

    It felt like I was watching a novice fanmade work.

    Marielle's art is cringeworthy, too.

    Yeah. I've been sleepless for the past week, but oh well. :(
     
    Wow I never thought that they would keep the same opening, haha. The new designs are fine, I didn't really see a problem. :] Also myanimelist says there's 25 episodes, so yay!
     
    Now that I just rewatched a bit of the previous season... Yeah, Marielle's hair. Now I know what's wrong with her.
     
    Actually, if you pay attention, it isn't just Marielle. They've made changes in Naotsugu's as well as Shiroe's hair too. They're both more, for the lack of a better term, spiky. And rough around the edges instead of the smooth kind we got earlier. But I think it is more due to the new art style that's a Deen characteristic rather than a design choice for a particular character.

    Either way, first episode didn't disappoint. It was satisfactory. Glad to hear Database again. Although as rightly pointed out, the visuals didn't seem to fit well with the song. They just don't...match. I could've made a better opening, really. But alright, its just a minor complaint. Here's to hope this is another amazing season of DATABASE DATABASE WOWOW. Looking forward to Shiroe's actions. Oh, and also good to see they haven't forgotten the small details like giving nods to Akatsuki-Shiroe-Minori triangle by including scenes like the one where Akatsuki is giving Minori the look when Shiroe enters the stage. I don't care much about the triangle itself but giving nods to plot-threads established in the preceding season = good thing in my book o/

    Also Akatsuki's and Rayneshia's(the princess) eyes look really strange. Deen is already making it bad.
