Log Horizon 2 (MORE DATABASE!)

I'm more curious as to his take on the cultural development of Theldessia's various enclaves.

Episode 15 basically setting up for the younger player's own adventure. Generally a setup for the next episode, but it was really fun to watch with them getting ready and everything. I've heard a couple of people were pretty meh about this, but I like seeing the younger members get some spotlight instead of being pushed in the shadows all the time. I always love watching them get their episodes since Shiroe and the rest are all already high level adventurers, while Tohya and the others are only halfway there.

Was nice seeing some backstory for Tohya and Isuzu and really hope that they'd develop that a bit.
Hoping Rudy will get some sort of character development this adventure.

How does Tetra even...

I didn't mind the episode itself, but after last week's episode it seemed a bit dull. Perhaps a few scenes elsewhere would have been good, I mean we ended episode 14 with a declaration of war! ><. Sudden change in pace.

I'm not really happy about the idea, but I think what the writer is trying to do is to "force" somehow these characters into the upcoming story arc. Let's say they are the point of start (or at least that's what the next episode preview suggests).

I gotta agree with this, I like the Horizonies (sounds cute, right? :P) but I just want to see Shiro doing uber things =D Especially when Kanamin is back =D
Hopefully this arc won't be that long =D

It did feel pretty forced, but I won't lie I still enjoy it. I personally wished it had an arc of it's own(or at least pushed somewhere besides inside this arc) instead of being pushed along with an arc filled with Kanamin and members of the Debauchery Tea Party - that's what a lot of people will be focused on so no one would care about them much.
I guess it's not that I'm just found of the younger members of LH (not as much Minori), but I do like watching the younger members develop overtime in the way beginner players of an RPG game like Elder's Tale grow into much more higher level experienced members. You don't get to see as much of that development with characters such as Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu, Nyanta etc, because they have/ are reaching the max levels of the game - more of the charm of the rpg game side I guess?

To be fair, I'm more excited for what's to come on the next episode ~

(Somewhat been already spoiled).

Development isn't signalized just by levels...
Shiro and Tsuki got more development than most main characters in other anime =D

Never stated that development was just by levels or a representation the character development within Log Horizon. More or less stated that it was one way/ type of development that is seen in it.

Characters like Tohya and Minori originally level 6 when they started depended on Shiroe to help them get through the beginner levels of Akiba, to the point where they are at now at levels 57-58 on larger quests of their own where they can stand their own ground and not be as reliant to the older guild members as they used to be.

Like said Shiroe and and Akatsuki have gotten a lot of development. However, the point was they were already established level 90 players at the beginning of the anime so we couldn't see them develop in the same way the younger players did. Their development carries a lot of importance (Shiroe even more so in the development of the Akiba adventurers while Akatsuki's process of getting her own teachings and getting stronger than the original max level ) of the plot itself to make Log Horizon to what it is in comparison to all other "stuck in a game" anime.

So....

Why do I feel like there are multiple subplots going on at the same time?

Yeah, the Genius was supposed to be properly introduced by the Kanami Go East! Volume, but they crammed a whole book into 1 episode so it all feels so sudden...

Would have been nice to see the Elias Hackblade save...

Damn. I knew it. I'm so going to read the LN as soon as this ends.

I just can't believe they spent a whole episode in nothing to then push a cliffhanger at the end. Are you kidding me.
