Do you mean the notices at the top of the board? If so, just click the red 'X' in the top right corner and they should go away. If not, could you screenshot what you mean and post it here?

What exactly do you mean by "gray option bar"? If you mean the top notification, there should be an x at the top right of the box to close it out. Or if you mean the context bar at the bottom of the forum, you can disable that through your user control panel! Just go into the user CP and then hit "edit options". Scroll down to context bar once you're there and tick the disable box - then you should be good to go! I had mine enabled for a while but realized the forum pages looked better without it, so admittedly because of that I almost forgot it existed aha. xD; Hope that helped - feel free to private message me if you need more assistance!
Anyway, have you explored around so far? I'm guessing you're not new to forums going by what you've posted, but PC still has some rules you should read through, especially the 30-day revival rule which a lot of new members seem to miss. But yeah, why not tell us more about yourself, yeah? I'd love to get to know you and I'm sure our other regulars would too, plus that makes it a looot easier to get replies in your intro thread. :3 For starters, does your username mean anything? I instantly think of Pokemon Red and Blue haha.

PC has been here for almost 11 years now, and we have loads of topics and discussions you can take part in, including our ongoing discussion for the new Pokemon X & Pokemon Y, and trust me the starters look super cute! (However, they'll never beat the mega-cuteness that was Oshawott, cos that's what all Oshawotters like me think of other starters.)
Why not tell us a bit about yourself? Do you have a favorite Pokemon? Like how I love Oshawott a lot, or maybe your fave Pokemon game? I'm currently enjoying Black 2 a lot right now (got my 6th Gym badge yesterday and I'm going to Route 7 and Celestial Tower next). I love most 4th and 5th Generation games given I am active a lot in said sections of PC.
Have a fun time here, and I'm happy to talk to you anytime. Call me Hikari by the way, and remember to ask Cid, Cirno or the other mods if you need help.
