Where can I find a starter deck anymore? He's almost 6 and would just be playing with me - we'd be learning together. Any help would be great.

Any trading card shops, or collecter shops have them.
Local stores too, walmart, target, whichever real various store...You can also get them online.

Hope everything goes well with your son. :D *cough_try and spoil him_cough*

He's already there - I'll check out the local target/walmart. From the looks on the web, it seemed most of the starter packs were out of stock/not listed.

Well there are many various decks, ive seen some starter ones, but there are many themed ones that can also be used as starters I guess.
I don't play these days, so I'm not exactly sure...

So bascially themed can be starters I guess...

Well there are many sites that provide the rules quite vividly...I can't advertise but check around the web forum and they can be found.

Yeah, most decks (whether they say "starter" or not) will have the rules included in them. So if you buy two decks, you should have everything you need. You should be able to find them almost anywhere, though. I've even seen the decks at drug stores and convenience stores.

That said, this is probably better suited for the card game forum, so I'll move it there.

Most speciality card shops in Major malls are going to be full of them. Along with Starter Sets you can also buy specific cards.

Also, you can also find complete Card sets sometimes at Flea Markets.

Reading a rule book is no fun.. You might find later on that a 'starter deck' is a bit dissapointing. The TCG website has compiled a rather entertaining flash demo for people to learn how to play:

    How To Play

It makes it a lot more entertaining and simpler to understand when you do it visually- so I'd recommend you use that if you first, if you have no one else around to teach him.
