Lose 50 pounds in 2 weeks!

Actually, exercising alone won't do anything. You must exercise and watch what you eat in order to effectively lose weight. There are plenty of people out there that exercise twice a day, 3 times a week, but are still obese because after they are done exercising, they go and get fast food, eat an entire bag of chips, drink a lot of carbonated beverages, or just don't eat what they should be eating.

I have only started my new diet, as I mentioned, and haven't had the time to exercise thanks to either the weather or work. I am sure that if I had been exercising, I'd have lost more than just the 12.8lbs so far.

There is only one secret to losing weight, which is eat less and move more.
Which is why it's slightly cruel that food is so awesome and exercise is so not awesome.

well, I've got quite a lo of experience here :)

I used to be 10st 5lb, at age 21. I was in a car crash and my internal organs were damaged badly, and I was bed ridden. After 4 months I was not as active as I was, having previously been involved in cage fighting/thai boxing. I went to 19st,10lb in 3 years. nearly 2x the weight.

Now im 17st,1lb but have a bodyfat % of 12%, 4 years later (started weight trainging twice a day, every week, 5 days) I tried the shortcut diets, they dont work lol. The best advice I can give is cut out sugar, and bread. That alone makes a difference.

I'm not going to lie, I tried any way possible to get where I wanted, used a fat burner called clenbutrol, it was the most horrific thing I ever did, but it made me feel the results were coming quicker. I looked like a heroin addict going cold turkey when I took them, shaking permanently.

I even used anabolic steroids once (I'm talking a few years ago) and whilst the media makes them out to be worse than they are, 'roid rage' is non existent. But I tell you what they did do, I had a home, my best friend and partner, and two beautiful and wonderful children :) They took every human emotion out of me, I felt noting for nobody, I put it down to falling out of love with her, so I left at age 25, throwing away 7 happy years. After I stopped taking them a few months later I started to regain my emotions ten fold, and realised my huge mistake. But she had moved away and gotten over it.

Now 27, biggest regret of my life, so kids (and adults) if you want to lose weight and get healthy, excersise more, eat healthier, thats it :) and dont believe everything on the internet! :P I realise this is an aweful lot to say on the internet, but all I wanted to do was lose weight, and it changed my life drastically, so thought I'd get that out there

Exercising is the best way to lose weight! Diet control wont lead to anything! If you wont eat according to your daily needs then you'll get weak!

Getting in shape is 80% diet, 20% exercise. What's the point in going to the gym if you're going to shovel down a whole pizza after your session? You're right that you have to eat according to your daily needs
To be healthy you need to also eat healthy. It doesnt mean you have to be 100% strict but you need to know what you're having in order to fuel your body.

Example: You're feeling tired. Do you go grab an energy drink/ coffee or a mandarin and spinach salad? Mandarin has vitamin c and spinach has iron.. both will give your body a better boost than caffeine or sugar and you wont get that insulin spike/crash.

I think diets are a good way to introduce people to healthy eating, as long as it's not some sort of weird fab diet. But essentially, as some people stated above- taking on a more balanced and healthier lifestyle is the way to go.

All in all.. yes you can lose weight by eating less than your BMR and moving more.. but you wont necessarily be healthy.

Eat healthy and walk instead of using bike! The more you walk, the more you will stay healthy!

Actually, a bike is far more demanding than walking, even though you get there faster. Its this way because you are actually moving your legs a lot more than if you were walking.
