lugia vs ho oh (who would win this is a vote kinda

    lv 70 lugia can possibly use fly surf thunder and hydro pump

    70 ho oh can use thunder bolt fly fire blast enber
     
    Well those sets is kinda biased and not really reflective of the Pokemon.
    If you were to use a set for competitive battling it may be different but this is kinda odd sets. =P
     
    Ho-Oh is not offensively retarded.

    Ho-Oh wins, Lugia is a wall with no means of reliable offense, Ho-Oh is a bit of both (though it's typing sucks)
     
    Lugia is Ultimate Victor: Special-Offensive and Defensive, Calm Mind boosts, Aeroblast... Lugia turns Ho-oh to bits. ​
     
    Both of those movesets are crap

    Lugia wins that match-up, Hydro Pump will tear Ho-oh apart faster than thunderbolt can kill lugia. With EVing and proper sets, I'd still go with lugia.
     
    You guys are ignoring Ho-Oh's Base 154 Special Defense, and Lugia's Base 90 SpA.

    Hydro Pump is unSTABed, and coming off a Base 90 SpA stat. I say that Ho-oh simply wears down Lugia with either Ancient Power or Sacred Fire.
     
    Your forgetting, in D/P, some WATER moves are physical. What about waterfall, Lugia using that would beat Ho-Oh! Also Ancientpower is 4x more effective on Ho-Oh than normal cos of it's type! So Waterfall and Ancientpower would destroy Ho-Oh!

    Ew...Waterfall on Lugia? I really doubt Base 90 attack would OHKO Ho-Oh =/

    These moves you are suggesting are not on your average Lugia. Besides, I wouldn't call 50% a "slim chance"
     
    Still, lugia could get a critical hit when using Ancientpower and OHKO if Lugia is quicker. Also Ancientpower can raise all of Lugia's stats. That's my opinion. I don't wish to argue anymore.

    Why are you relying on Lugia to get a crit? And you cannot battle because Waterfall on Lugia is unreliable =/
