4th Gen Lyra said Marill evolved... but it didn't?

Usually when I call her, she gives me some trivia about where I'm at. xD

Anyone know where I have to be to get her to do this? :\
 
Lyra has an army of Marills that she evolves everyday. Whenever she is bored, she calls you to tell about her success.

This just happened to me today. Hm, I wonder....
 
Or, maybe, it might be a case of lazy developers.
 
Yeah I noticed this to. Probably something the game creators forgot to get in depth with.
 
yeah I finally answer one of her annoying calls after three days of ignoring her then she says her marill evolved, then like two minutes later she calls again and says that her MARILL smells like a dust mop, and she told me she saw it evolve atleast ten times so she must be gathering an army of marill or something
 
... this aint the developers fault, its the translators.
I remember getting a similar call from her in my jap version of ss and she talked as though her marill evolved.
But at the end she added something like, 'it was a funny dream' or 'it would b cool if that happened' or something.
So yeh, the translator probs 4got to add that line.
 
Yeah, I've gotten that call as well, but I haven't actually seen Lyra since...
 
I got a few calls from her about her MARILL that smells like a dust mop and in 5 minutes she calls again that her MARILL evolved.

Then she calls a few more times, army of MARILLs maybe? Also, I've seen her walking around with a, guess what, MARILL!!! I was in Game Freak's office.
 
Yeah, I got that call too. And a little while after, like maybe 2 hours later, I get a call from her saying that her marill is starting to smell like a dust mop and she neads to clean it more often.
(off topic) Has anyone ever read the mail that she sends you in the very beginning of the game. Check your PC and take a look at it. When I read it I thought to myself, "Seriously...one track mind."
 
Yeah, I saw that. I lol'd

I also find it hilarious how she acts around her grandparents at the day care center, always insisting you're not her boyfriend.
 
Lyra/Lyar haha thats funny. I got the call a lot and as someone previously stated, its an error when they were translating all the speech, my only question is why is that the only call they made her give you? I woulda thought that they would make a lot of different kinds of calls especially from your rival but nope its pretty much just two, the nonexistant evolving marill and the smelly marill.
 
I've gotten a few different ones from her, I haven't even gotten the one where she talks about her marill smelling bad yet.
