Magic VS Yu-Gi-Oh

Plus, I've noticed seeing as alot of the magic players are adults, there able to run them on nights and week nights..when less people are around to bug them.
 
Things tend to vary liek that. for example, In portsmouth where I live Pokemon isn't taht great, but it's more popular in Chesapeake, and even more so in Virginia Beach. It must be really popular in New york city, because they've got that Pokemon Center up there and you know that expensive place wouldn't keep running unless they were seriously making money. :\
 
Yeah, here in SA Texas YGO is graint, you can't go anyware with out seeing some little kid or anther with some kinda YGO merchandise or somthing like that.
 
Ok cool, well I don't know much about Magic anymore. But I thinl what makes it so legendary is how its been around for about 10-11 years, anaversary was a few months back as I recall. And is still one of the best games out there dispite the fact theres no show, and little to none merchandise(besides the cards). I mean its incredible, there are lots of games out there that are like that, but none that have been around for 10 or 11 years and still pumping out cards being one of the top card games in the US if not the word.
 
Apperantly not, its still going strong and you gotta respect that in a collectable game like the ones where debating about.

Excatly, I dont play it any more, same with YGO. But its one of the best games out there and just has so much experaince and diverisity.
 
The thing that really draws peopel to yuigoh and duel amsters more so tahn pokemon is the novelty. In yugioh and duel masters, they're using actual cards, so teh player in real life can better associate with that. pokemon however is on a more physical level than that, which is whythe video game gets most of teh sails when it comes to merchandizing of pokemon. Magic jsut pretty much sells itself, sa tehy don't ahve a martketing gimic that I know of. :\
 
I'm not sure if it's a gimmick, but they do sell novels that pertain to magic. Also the website with the pro authors practically IS the gimmick. New players who've just started to see the site are all amazed by its reliable updates (we talking daily...except for sundays) and the general fun the site give them.

ya...they DO make books...just about any big fantasy fan wouldn't have read it..its sort of like dragonlance or forgotten realms(i dunno didnt read many of those series of books)...their actually a good set of books...mayb u should read them...or ur prob just gonna say they suk even if u havent read them...
If there's a flame master, its gotta b mullet...especially when him and blasty are in the same area XD

your making a lot of assumptions, aren't you?:\ first you assuem it's been nothing but flaming when it's actually beena descent conversation, and tehn you assuem we wouldn't consider reading them just because we don't play magic. We're not that childish. :\
