4th Gen Magnet train (I hope)

Naw, they won't have battles on it. That's what the SS.Aqua was for, and anyways, that didn't really provide as a good training place (i mean, you could only battle everyone once, right?) The Magnet train was for the eventual switching between Johto and Kanto, quickly. The SS Aqua was just a lil story filler, we'd all eventually forget about it and just keep using the Magnet Train for speed. So, since speed was necessary, there most likely will not be any trainer battles on it, but there will definately still be a Magnet Train.
This.

The magnet train was created to be a quick and easy way to get between the two regions, even right from the start. Personally, I don't see any storyline changes made for the Magnet Train that wasn't in the originals. It wouldn't bother me horrifically if there were changes, but I hope that there aren't.

I do hope that it makes a return, and if scans of Goldenrod City appear, everyone will be looking for the Magnet Train, which will hopefully answer the question of if Kanto will be in the remakes.

You're right. If scans of Goldenrod come in, and the Magnet train station is still seen, then either Kanto is back or it's a train leading to another Battle Frontier [Hope Not]. I never thought it that way until now, so now not only am I hoping the Magent Train makes a return, but hopefully in the next set of CoroCoro scans perhaps we'll see Goldenrod City.

Though, if they add any little plot to the train, I wouldn't be bothered by it much. If it changes the storyline from the orignal version however, then I'd get a little adge about it.

I would love it to come back, and if they can keep the design the same just make it 3D, then great! I can't wait to see the scans of Goldenrod now. But, Kanto has to be included, otherwise, there wouldn't be any Magnet Train. I also like the idea of a little story behind it like Team Rocket or something along those lines. I didn't spend much time with the train because my friend took the game back before I could spend more time on it, but I would love there to be a new and improved Magnet Train. Also, has anyone seen the film, Giratina and the Sky Warrior? There was a train battle then, so why not have trainers on the Magnet Train? More of a plus in my eyes.

Even if they don't allow battles in the Magnet Train, there could be a possibility they'll at least compliment it with a first person view like how we have Sprout Tower when we enter the building. I think that'll be a pretty nice touch to it.

Yeah, and be able to look around. Maybe even et up, all in first person. That would be neat!

If we can see a first person view of the train moving to our wanted destination, and still keep the fast paced motion, then at least it'll add in some visualization to the game rather than a black screen for a few seconds or so.

Yeah, Maybe you could see other trains passing by, and traniers batteling that would
be amazing.

Well, it's all still early to see what happens next, but we'll see hopefully sooner than the release of the game, or right after it is released seeing as all information on it, or most any way, will be out.

More than likely yes, seeing as it was the best and fastest way to transfer to each region. Unless they change the train into some other means of transportation, which I doubt would happen.

They will probably keep the train.

I think it would be cool if they replaced it with something like an airplane. (Just to make it seem a bit more modern).

Yeah they will, as I don't think anything else will fit for its replacement in the game.

Only an airplane would replace it. But that would be bad. A train fits more though.

The train fits more for me as well, because if we had airplanes, then where does fly really come into much use if the game starts to get overly modern.

Train > AirplaneWhos want to be inbetween two fat guys sleeping. Not me, even though that could happen on a train, I think the train just fits the region better.

Same here, the train has more of a fitting feel to Johto and Kanto. Plus, if it ever had to be a flying machine to get us somewhere, I'd go with a blimp seeing its been shown in the anime quite a few times before.

Or a hot air ballon. But I doubt they'll replace the dear ole' magnet train,it'll make it's return. Wait could you fly between regions? I didn't think you could.

No, flying between regions wasn't really permitted, especially seeing as the entire map wasn't shown together either. I like the hot air balloon though, I could see it with its 3D look in the game too. Anyway, yeah it is best to stick more to how the original took charge of the train.

Of course they will have it, wasn't a important event that had something to do with a character named "Copy Cat" dealth with the Magnet train?

Also battling will be cool, but its a train thats pretty quick so i dont know about that
