2nd Gen Man in the Cable Club?

    Apparently, there is a man in a blue police uniform in the cable club that I've never even known about until now.

    Here's all the details I can remember. I activated the "Glitch Dimension" bug, where all my colors are messed up. I went to the Indigo Plateau Pokemon Center and faced my rival right next to the steps. When I went down to heal my Pokemon, I decided to go up the steps on the lower left corner (to the place where you link). When I went up there, behind the counter with the PC on it, there was a man in blue. He asked me if I was WAGI (My name on that game) and I answered yes. He then gave me an EXP. SHARE.

    Here's the weird thing though. I restarted because I didn't want my state to be saved with those weird colors (the only safe way to save on lameboy is with savestates). I went back up those same steps, and he wasn't there. I refaced my rival and went back up, still not there. I tried it with the Glitch Dimension, still nothing. Can somebody please explain to me who that was and how to make him come back?
     
    The normal way for the man to appear is through Mystery Gift. I can't help you when it comes to glitches, though.

    If I recall correctly, an item from Mystery Gift is held only until the end of the day; the man disappears if the item has not been picked up by then.
     
    I've found that some glitches in GSC unlock mystery gift before you can actually unlock it, I'm guessing that's what happened here.
     
    So does that mean Mystery Gift counts even if all you talk to is the girl in Goldenrod's store? I don't even have the device, and you can't link with Lameboy, so I've never done Mystery Gift with another person in my life. Anyway, thanks for the information, now I know what is supposed to make that man appear. I'll go do testing to see exactly what I did to make it so he appeared without me doing the real requirements.

    Hm.. I wouldn't know. I haven't done a mystery gift on those games in so long.
