Hmm, it most likely every island as there's five sections (most likely corresponding to the four big islands and some other place (artificial island?). Since the reveal of the first island I've wondered if the island itself is actually Alola. Perhaps Alola is the big island (like how Hawaii state is named after the big island) and the small islands have their own names. This thought came to me as the Sevii islands all had their own names. On the japanese video, when they show the pokedex, we can see there is the Alola Pokedex and the Melemele Pokedex.
What do you think it means? A Pokedex per Island? A post-game region? Anything else?

You're right, I actually forgot about the three dexes for Kalos!
With 4 different Dexes, I hope it means there will be a whole lot of Pokémon to catch, and a lot of new ones!
Alola could be the big island like Hawaii's big island being called Hawaii, with the Oahu based on having the second dex. The starters could be considered native to the big island hence it's appearance in that dex.I went back to Pokemon Y and checked to see if they other dexes were hinted at before you unlocked them. For the most part, it showed no blanks, but it did have the symbol at the top.
Looking at this, it doesn't really make sense for one of the Dexes to be called Alola, as there was no Kalos Dex. It went from the 3 sections to national.
I am also doubting the one listed Alola would be counting the starters with central, unless it was all of them combined. Yellow, could be a sub category of Alola, make 4 dexes. If that is the case, and there is about 150 again, that is 600 pokemon. If 200, that is 800. I am also betting the larger islands will have more like I said, so we are looking at 600 to 800 total pokemon. If they go for at least 150.

That 600 and 800 is assuming they're all the same size. One could be 151, another 100, 138, and 118 or so (I forget the official numbers). Perhaps as references to the numbers introduced in the first four gens. Or 156 or so since Kalos' dex numbers were already a shoutout to Kanto's.
600 is also a jump from 457 though. I can see 500, but not 600 (though XY did jump greatly from B2W2's 300). If each dex were even then 125 for each island. Perhaps 100 for starter and 150 for Big, 125 for the other two. This is true. But I wouldn't think they would name one based on the island and then the others named after colors. But it isn't impossible. But yeah I thinking that there will be different numbers. If we have four islands, I would say something like this.
Big Island = 230
Starter Island = 120
Pool Island = 160
West Island = 140
Those are just rough estimates. The starting island is the smalled and then the big island is about double in size. So Big Island would probably have doubled the amount of starting island. Agian this are just rough estimates. I doubt they are going to reduce the amount of pokemon in the regional dex. I am not sure they have ever done that other than in Unova, which was done on purpose.
200 seems a bit of a jump from 457. But it slowly goes up with each generation. Sinnoh had 210 in Pt, Unova had 300 in BW2, and Kalos had 457
