Plain and simple, this map is terrible. I know you told me to ignore DSOL, but it is terribly ugly and should be removed imediately. The grass and the flowers are completely utterly unnatural and look like they were just randomly thrown in to the map. It is terribly square.

The mountain is ugly and full of tile errors, and is very, very square and un... passionate. It looks like you made this map out of force rather than fun. It is ridiculously terrible.

Your hedges are terribly unnatural and are full of nature errors and are perfectly straight, which is perfectly the wrong way to do things.

The grass in the checkerboard shape looks terrible and should be fixed immediately. It is not shaped at all like it should be. I suggest you read a mapping tutorial before you post a map because all you will get is a bad rating.

No need to think. 0/10
Thank you. I see that I'm probably a terrible mapper. Uhm, I'm gonna do some more maps now, but I'm gonna read some tutorials first (maybe), and this time I'll spend more than a small flicker of inspiration on it. Sry to waste your time.

Tell you now. In a map that size I would suggest no more than 20 flowers (20 at max). The grass should be about 1/12 the amount you've put. and the hedges, take 'em out completely. Routes don't have hedges growing, especially in perfect lines. the mountains don't have any tile errors as far I can tell, maybe I missed something? but in truth your map is to plain, too basic and square like mentioned. try throwing in some more trees and some more paths. Also no possible border block in this map, which pretty much ruins the "playability" of this map. Hopefully reading mapping tutorials would help you. I think that Hot and Cold was that tad too harsh on you, I admire you for not getting mad over the poor rating, but you couldn't have expected to get too much higher, maybe after a little more practice ^^

@hot & cold - I realize that he/she is a beginning mapper, but those kind of mappers are the ones that you should help, in terms of explaining how to improve. The last "No need to think. 0/10" was exceptionally rude in my eyes, I can't believe how much it crushed Dsol's heart. I'm not saying your crit was ineffective, but I think you should maybe tone down the harshness. Explain in a nicer way.

For further notice, it's DSoL(Capital L), I'm a he, and I realize I can't map worth crap now, but I'm redoing the map, different dimmensions, loss of flowers, hedges go bye-bye(stupidity on purpose). ENIGO ISLAND is now a mountainous island, and I'm putting in very little grass, I may throw in a lake or pond or something. Also, I'm completely fine with full out flaming for my maps. I don't get very mad easily, sure the whole no thought thing kinda ticked me off, but I understand where she's coming from. After you get to a certain point in mapping expertise, everything else looks VERY bad unless you make it, or you KNOW it's better. I'll post the newer version (no hedges, so on... No DSoL at bottom) after someone else posts.
Also, there was meant to be no possible border. There is no way to see a border, unless you hack a hack. Everything is kept 7/8 tiles away from the edge. I also plan on putting a LOT more trees in ENIGO 1.1.

Alright, my first time messing with AdvanceMap... I'm not too much of a noob in map making in general, so I have experience. Also viewing this topic multiple times helped loads.

Here it is: (attachment because I don't have many posts yet)

Name: Route X (Not determined yet)

Hack: Unnamed as of now

Game: FR

Comments: Would be around the middle of the game. Leads to some sort of cave. Constructive criticism wanted... please?

Rating: 10/10
Reason: This map is great! I like how the entire thing is a big twist and it kinda just dead-ends. But, is the exit on the right intentional? Probly is, buuut. Yeah, 10/10!
I know that my map got 0/10, buuut, I'm still allowed to rate.

First of all, I see a few tile errors. Tree shadows are wrong and an ocean in the middle of the route? wtf? I suggest fixing the tree shadows and the tile errors and changing that ocean into a pond.

EDIT:

Reposting my map, really need feedback on it 'cause I think its bad, really bad.

Map Name: Wayward Path
Map Game: FireRed
Comments: For my upcoming hack, I must apologize for (a few) tile errors though.

Just quickly reposting because crit I need. xP

I agree with the above poster but I also think the house nearest the top should be moved up a tile, I don't like that empty space behind it ><.

9/10

Just spotted a tile error :P One of the tiles on the top row has tree-shading when it shouldn't (left end, right part). And another on the row beneath.

8.9/10 XD

Reposting my map from before, but I got rid of the little plateau thingo.

I think it looks MUCH better now. =D

I present to you, Citrine City:

Spoiler:

Ooh :O
This map is vury pretty, and extremely playable, so props for that.
There are a few things about it that bother me though, that house on the upper left, I think that the windows are too close to the door, giving it a misshapen look, also, you could easily fill up the space above, but the player really won't be seeing it, so it doesn't really matter. Again on the upper left, I don't really like the tree placement up there, it would be pretty easy to keep them aligned, making it a bit more orderly. The exit on the bottom is pretty empty, a path or some fences could fix it.

By the way, I love your mountains :3

I haven't posted a map here in quite a while. This one's a heavily forested route, basically. Ignore the cave on the left, it's supposed to be impossible to enter. It's just an aesthetic effect.

Map name: Route 51
ROM: Aqua Sapphire (FireRed)

Here is a map I made, AFTER reading a tutorial. Credit to link12552 for the tutorial for my map.

Map Name: Route 1

Original ROM: Pokémon FireRed

Hack Name: Pokémon: Wrath of Enigma

Comments: This route is the equivalent of FR/LG's Route 1. Just, edited a little.

Since you stated that it's a remade Route 1, I can't take points off for that.

I like the flower placement and grass placement, along with the ledges. The trees seem, to me, to be in a surplus. Other than that, a good map. MUCH better than your previous map.
Now for you to just map from scratch. They'll be decent.

5/10.

Thank you for the suggestions/compliments. As for your (second) last line, this was from scratch, the other map still exists. I just made this one to look like a smaller, more maze-like version. I'll probably take out a few trees and throw in some ledges that aren't attached to the side. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

There is a lot of empty space in some places. The rock, water, and tree placement looks unnatural.

Ok. Here is a new map (completely custom). I apologize for not rating Anselection's, but my ratings are noobish, as I have no idea what good maps are.

Map Name: ENIGO BRIDGE

ROM Base: FireRed

Hack Name: Pokémon: Wrath of Enigma

Comments: Ok. This is the place that leads to ENIGO CAVE (in progress) where you fight the final legend of my hack. I apologize in advance for the tile errors at the bottom right and left corners of the lake, I can't find the rock corners... This is connected to a map only at the bottom, so the trees at bottom are a roadblock.

NOTE: This is supposed to be a mountainous area. Also, there would be a picture above this text, but it won't let me copy/paste like I did the first time:(
