    What does everyone think of having a BB Code for a marquee. I put one on two forums that I am at. The arent that distracting and you can limit everyone only one marquee in thier signature.
     
    No, because marquees aren't standard HTML and it would wreck our lovely validated code :P
     
    According to W3 rules marquees are not valid HTML.
     
    We don't delete XD. I figure just wait for a mod/admin to come along and close it :P

    What JA meant by that is that the code for a marquee is not in the W3C standards. It can still work but the site won't be valid(like it was:laugh:) anymore. It's some stupid code Microsoft made up since Bill Gates thinks he owns the Internet. To make a marquee, you would need to do that in the CSS file. Then it would be W3C standard.
    Anyway, I think it's a bad idea since people won't control themselves and just go mayhem on them like the spoiler tags.
     
    marquees are ok... but they are VERY annoying, i put one in @ kforums and now i pay for it...

    I don't even use it ether....
