Mature Anime/ Manga

Speeking of Manga, I had the first two volumes of Hellsing yesterday and I love them XD... I very much recomend.

Also I will be getting Gungrave this month hopefully as well...thank you Kratos for the recomendation XD

Lament of the lamb eh? Anything with Vampires normally takes my fancy, and I am trying to get into Manga seeing as its cheeper than buying anime XP...perhaps i should give it a try...or at least do a search on the story line of it.
 
I like Juvenile Orion! It's really violent ^_^ And Kill me Kiss me is another good one. It's not so much the violence but the content that makes it mature. Another awesome one is Ceres. I have become obsessed with that one ^_^;;

I have to say though the Kenshin movies were really bloody. But I think that caught me off guard because I was stuck watchin the edited versions of the anime -_-;;

No offence Stri, but unless the people over at the green forum work for either ShoPro or Cartoon Network, their opinions are just valid as finding a lottery ticket with no numbers on it, then crossing the VOID HERE box several times just to make sure it's void. I've been watching Scrubs, did that sound like something Dr. Cox would say? o.o

According to JETRO, Naruto WILL be coming to the UK and Italy and I do have no doubt that Toonami will acquire it, but judging by their track record of acquisitions (11 months to get OP and JLU, 6 months to get TT), I'm saying it'll be 2006. Plus, the press release said so o.o

None taken, it wasn't my facts that were wrong....though they were right that we would be getting Naruto...I just hope its beter than the rest of the crap they are showing on Toonami at the moment...we need a pure Anime channel in the UK >.<....one that shows more mature anime in the evenings.
 
Toonami will be getting Adult Swim (but I'm not sure about regular CN), it's just a matter of time when. I've sent a letter of complaint to them, but they haven't replied or anything... cowards!

Weldone MCD! XD...they just don't have the guts to PM you back...actually...alot of the E-mails I send don't reply back...might as well not have an E-mail.
 
They need to just have adult swim make a seperate channel and get it over with, I mean come on, why not? They would be able to show way more anime that way.
 
I hate the fact that Adult Swim is on CN for two reasons.. one all the stupid shows are sooooo late and I can barely stay up until 1 for FMA.. and the other reason is that it's on CN, and I just hate CN.

As for the topic at hand.. I guess the only mature anime/manga I've seen/read is Chobits.. (I think.. I know the manga is 16+.. not sure about the anime though). I like mature stuff like this.. but I can never seem to find anything good when I go to the book store I go to, to get my manga x.x;
 
Chobits is a really good Manga! If you like that then try Ceres, it's made by the same people ^_^
 
Adult Swim will be spun-off into its own channel when the people down at Williams Street convince Turner that it would be a profitable network. Although, if it was on for 24 hours, it would probably be connected with quite a few Toonami-oriented shows, and the AS stuff wouldn't be shown until after 9-ish... so it wouldn't be too much better to be honest.
 
Mature anime?

Blood Reign: Curse of the Undead Yoma (I have this fixsation with the part where Marou is sitting in the bloody pod with a human head in his mouth.)

A Wind Named Amnisia (I know I must have spelled that wrong. Anyway, it's very near an 'R' rating for nudity and the people 'doing it' in a church. Frighteningly I first saw this on when I was about 13. At the time I considered it very graphic.)

It's the first really graphic manga I've read, so I can't compare with others, but I think its quite graphic if the main character (who has a head of a crocodile) is munching on a head of another guy on the first page.
 
GANTZ is pretty good but it is a bit too... suggestive if you know what I mean. I like Berserk too but it is also suggesstive (WHY???!!!!)

Futari Ecchi! It's great...it verges on the line of Hentai, but since nothing is ever shown (due to comical chibis blocking the way, HOORAY!) Very comical, and if you're very mature, I suggest watching/reading it. Oh, and as I said before, nothing is shown (thank goolai!)
