It's gaming so there's not really any rules on it. Even if they had a patent on it all Sony has to do is change it around a little and say "This is something different" (and it is) and go with that.
But I will say that the FFXIII trailer looked really really sweet.

Yea Final Fantasy XII isn't out here in the US yet, but yesterday Square came out and FFXIII was in their list of new games.

Yea,The FF XIII Looked Perty Good,And So Did The Gundam Game,And Heavenly Sword,

But I Do Think Sony Has Jumped The Gun On Starting A FF XIII So Soon,But That Just Me.

And MGS 4 Looked Really Really Good.

Man They Droped The Ball On A Ton of Stuff.And Yea IMO It Is Cause They Havnt Even Released FF XII In The US Yet.

@@ I'm not really up-to-date with Sony and Nintendo stuff ._.;; They keep changing everything.. so I told myself that I wouldn't bother thinking about it until they finalize everything @@;;~~

Yea I know, not having DSL/Cable sucks.
And the only people taking it the wrong way is people wanting to take it the wrong way. I'm not going to sit here saying "I'm not going to say Wii because it has a double meaning". I don't mind the name, it's a name.

A name is so much more than just a name, especially for a game console. When Nintendo changed there last console from Dolphin to Gamecube, that was a good move. When Ninty changed it from Revolution to Wii, you just can't help but ask "Why?!?

Many reasons, copyright stuff, Nintendo and their crazy names, and Revolution only tells what it'll do and other things.
They went with Wii and they made the right choice. You guys might not agree but I do think "Wii" sounds better then "Revolution" when it comes to a system name (you need something that stands out).

Agree, and I think the vast majority of gamers would agree with that as well. The console is cool no doubt, but it's hard to take it seriously with a name like that. =\
