Mega 2 evolution

Imagine this, Mega evolutions get overthrown by Mega 2 evolutions. A step up from regular Mega where Pokemon get even more powerful.
Just imagine, you have Mega Hercross 2, Mega Charizard Y 2, etc. could come up with loads of new ideas for them. It'd also be nice to overthrow overpowered Mega Pokemon.

Like the others above said, it's not a good idea to add another Mega stage because we know some Megas are overpowered and adding another would make them extremely broken.

Interesting idea, but definitely not right now, while Mega Evolution is still a new concept to the series. You could easily wear out the concept if it were overused in such a way haha. In terms of keeping things balanced, the only way I could see something like this working would be if they only gave the Mega 2 Evolution to Mega Pokemon who aren't that strong already (e.g. ones that are in UU or below).

You're also suggesting that Megas (already very strong Pokemon) can be balanced out by adding even stronger monsters.....which doesn't work.

I don't think this would be a necessary change. How would it overthrow "overpowered" mega evolutions... by making them more overpowered?

Actually , Mega Pokemon aren't nearly as overpowered as Digimon !!!
