[Spoilers] Mega Volt - New Japanese XY Opening

Shauna, Trevor, Tierno, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Fletchinder, Hawlucha, Korrina, Diantha, ayyyyyyyy <3333 Honestly not quite as upbeat as Volt; a little slower, but decently remixed with really cute animation more in the standard style of openings. I wanna see it in HD ;; Whatcha think though, guys? It don't looks like anyone besides Ash is going to be getting a new Pokémon or envoving anything until next time hmmm. But I'm really excited for the trio of friends to show up aaaa <3 hoping for Shauna to be a proper rival to Ash tbh.

Awesome! I love how Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna are all in it! And it looks like Ash will be getting Hawlucha and evolving Fletchling after all. I do have to say that Hawlucha looks a lot better in the anime than the game, so I don't total hate it now.

I hope Korina doesn't join the group though. Maybe it is just until after the gym battle.

Someone also mentioned that it proves Ash will get a Mega, but I don't see where it proves it at.

Yeah, I am kinda glad Ash isn't getting a Lucario maybe. I like how he might get the first ever Flying/Fighting type pokemon. I did, however, notice 2 mega charizards fighting at the very start,maybe Ash will get Fire/Flying Charizard Y and have to face Charizard X.

With him not getting a Lucario, maybe, we might have a better chance at him catching a Honedge which I would love. Honedge was in the first opening, but we never seen it, and every other pokemon that was in the opening, I think we did see.

I love the idea of Ash getting a Hawlucha. Hopefully we get to see a lot of it, it really fits his sort of Leroy Jenkins personality.

I hope we get an episode where we learn about the movies Diantha is in, since we saw nothing of the sort in the games. It'd be fitting, seeing as Serena appears to be quite a fan of hers.

Korrina sitting under a tree hanging out with her Lucario is adorable, and really reminds me of how she acted in the games, which makes me think (And hope) maybe they'll keep her personality unlike most of the characters they use from the games.

I also really love the idea that pokemon have to wear their mega stones as it's been so far in the anime, like the medallion Alan's charizard had or the necklace Diantha's Gardevoir. I'd love to see a pokemon like gyarados or garchomp having a mega stone on a crown.

Oh, Korrina will actually be traveling with them? I hope she will, at least for a while, because I like the way she looks from the intro, and they've done a really good job with the Gym Leaders so far, so I'm excited to see what she's going to be like. I like that Shauna, Tierno and Trevor are in as well, especially with the Kanto starters, and I hope they'll be recurrent characters.

It's incredible how a single shot of Ash's Hawlucha managed to sway my opinion so much. I really don't like Hawlucha, but this one looks so happy and cute, what's up with that? And yay for Fletchling evolving! Clemont and Serena don't seem to get any new Pokemon, but I don't think that'll be a huge problem, since it looks like there will be some very exciting content coming up.

The animation looks lovely, I like how they show each character with their Pokemon. The battle scenes look great, I especially like the way they transitioned from the battle against Diantha to the battle against Korrina. Also the closeups of Diantha with Gardevoir at the end, and freakishly-long-eyebrows-guy Gurkinn with Lucario with the Tower of Mastery in the background.

On to the actual song, well, I never liked remixes, especially when I really liked the original song. This one is very upbeat though, the effects are surprisingly nice. It took three or four repeats for it to grow on me, but I still like the original a lot more.

It seems Korrina will be in a LOT of episodes. I think they are having a Mega Evalution Arc for about 10 episodes give or take a few.

As I said, I hated Hawlucha when I first seen it, but after seeing it in the anime style, it looks a lot better. Much like Druddigon did.

Well , Now we all know that Ash's Gym-battle with Korrina will be same as his Gym-Battle with Maylane .
Lucario vs Froakie which will end in a tie and Korrina gave her badge to Ash.
Seriously , I lose all interest from Shalour Gym-battle.

The first battle was not a real gym battle. I don't think Ash even knew she was a gym leader at the time. He probably will not get the gym badge until after this arc, or at the very end of it. I don't think the gym battle has even been announced yet.

I just wonder how he is going to defeat Mega Lucario with his current team, though Hawlucha is pretty dang strong, at least in games it is. Would love to see a Mega vs a Mega, but Ash currently is showing no signs of him getting a mega yet.

Well, Fletchling's evolving sometime soonish. And if he's probably not going to be battling Korrina till the end of the arc, that gives plenty of time for him to work on counters with his birdie. Hopefully it will end up with some legit screentime and skills and personality; his birds really do suffer from a lack of focus. Hawlucha will be pretty dang useful as well.

Thinking what happens in an opening is actually going to happen in the episode (Re: Korrina and Ash gym battle) is the biggest misconception I've ever heard to be honest.

Ughhhhh I can't wait for Flechinder because I've loved it so much ever since my Fletchling evolved into one in my game. Also I would really love for Flechinder to get more screentime and (as I've said in another thread) I would love to see Hawlucha to be the counter to Korrina's Lucario to continue this sort of trend he has with counters.

Also yes yes yes Shauna and Co. Come to me and please have more of an impact in the anime than you do in the games please.

Just because she has one in game, does not mean she will have one in the anime. Look at Grant, he had Tyrunt and Amaura, but in the anime he had Tyrunt and Onyx. So at the moment, you can't really count on them having the same teams in game and anime.

The battles in the anime openings are rarely that exciting and really, the openings only give us an idea of the pokemon and character who will be in the current season. As much as they have beefed up the gym leaders in the anime, using ice beam, draco meteor and other high level moves, I am about 90% sure she will use Lucario.

Also, Ash and Trip were the same in the battles against Alder. Alder let both of them get hits in and then he Koed both pokemon.

I was finally able to watch the Mega Evo Special, and I didn't know it mention Ash. Not to mention that all the main characters so far that have charizard, have the X version of it.

I am not sure if this goes here, but maybe Ash will get Mega Charizard Y after all. That is just an idea. Now it would be very very epic to eventually see both Mega Charizards battling one another.

I say this here, because Charizard Y is also in the trailer, although it is not show to be Ash's. It could still be.

It sounds really pointless to have this whole arc about Korrina and her Lucario and for her to not use it in the Gym Battle. Especially since if she tried not to use it Ash would insist because this is Ash. He's seen this Lucario. He'll want to face it in the gym battle and chances are he might even start thinking of counters hawlucha and possibly flechinder too before said gym battle.

And Korrina may or may not also have a Hawlucha. It's possible they've decided to give Ash a Hawlucha and will give Korrina and different Pokemon. That or just Lucario. We won't know until there is more info in the series/about the upcoming gym battle.
