Memorable moments from Pokémon

There was the Nuzlocke I did of Pokemon X, in which I lost my super looking forward to train Espurr Psycat in a battle against a wild Absol, that later won the challenge with me, and became my favorite Pokemon. Does that count?

I was once trapped at one of the Whirl Islands in Pokemon Gold, i went in without having the HM Flash, so basically i couldn't see a thing. When i stepped in, i went a couple steps further and realized i jumped down a ledge. Basically, i was there alone with my Typhlosion, it was my first time playing and it was an overleveled and some underleveled common pokemons. So i started fighting every Krabby and Seal with my fire type trying to get out. I must've spent an entire day untill i got out, my Typhlosion with 5-6 hp, not a single potion or revive. That was the moment that not only made me learn more about pokemon and the games, but also to really love it. To this day, i still do my best to get a Typhlosion in every Pokemon i play, and i name it the same 😊.

I had a lot of great moments, thanks to my Mom. When I first got into the anime/TCG/games when I was around 8, my Mom actually got into them too. It's totally normal for a parent to show some interest in their kid's activities, but she actually got deep into it. Watching the anime with her, she grew to really like Jigglypuff, and that's still her favorite Pokemon. Last Mother's Day, as part of my gift to her, I got her a Jigglypuff plushie in honor of those memories. She not only played the TCG a bit, but she also got really into collecting it. She also played the games up until the Pearl version, and here's where there was a funny moment involving that. I was looking through the boxes in her Pearl version one day, and came across a purple shiny Rapidash, I thought 'holy crap!'. I asked her where she got that, and she told me she found this blue flame Ponyta and caught it because 'It looked cool'. I then realized that she actually had no idea what a shiny was and just how rare it actually was, she had basically just caught it on a whim, lol. Of course, I explained the whole shiny thing to her. She no longer plays Pokemon, because she eventually got involved with a bunch of games on her phone and never got any console past her DS Lite. My Mom is awesome and funny, though, she's actually been a gamer even before I was born. When it came to my childhood, we definitely bonded over Pokemon and other games, and I'll always remember that.
