As I look through anime pics on the net, there's some pics of an anime called Mermaid Pichi Pichi Pich (or something like that?)
It looks like it's a good anime series and I wanted to know if anyone's heard of it. 0.0

I have. ^^ Rina (The Green one) is my favorite character.

I haven't gotten around to make time to watch the anime though.

Like the little mermaid, The main character sets out to land to find the boy she saved from a shipwreck seven years ago, the boy to whom she entrusted her pink pearl. She eventually found the boy, named Kaito Domoto.

But the human form of the main character a girl named Lucia Nanami, doesn't have any resemblance to her mermaid form. But she also cannot tell Kaito who she really is; otherwise she would turn into foam. So she tries to convince Kaito into figuring out who she really is (since nothing was said about the other way around).

At the same time, Lucia has been told that a group of sea monsters have invaded the marine world and she had to gather the six other Mermaid Princesses and their pearls to resurrect the legendary goddess Aqua Regina to stop them. So to fulfill this, she joins forces with Hanon and Rina, both Mermaid Princesses who also came up to dry land, use their pearls, turn into singing idols, and use their voices as an offensive.

Wow. That sounds really cool! ^^
I heard from somewhere that the anime/manga may be coming to America.

Do you know if that's true? 0.0

It was true but something happened and the dub deal fell apart...

I love the songs in this anime, and have written "English" versions of a lot of them. If you want me to put them up here, I will

Okay, I'll start with Lina's song, "Star Jewel":

    ::guitar intro::

Close your eyes tonight and wish upon a shooting star!
See it fly into a million points of light!
Every promise, hope and prayer becomes a jeweled star!
And I believe deep inside my heart that fate, will lead us on...

I've broken free from a cold wave of doubt...
    Yet, I don't know why I'm crying...
And so I turn, looking away from everyone...
Silently, I vanish in the night air...
I'm searching endlessly for something that I lost!
    My heart is aching painfully!
And as the falling rain consumes me, soothes me...
I will never stop singing this song for you!

If the morning sun should come again and shine once more,
Oh, how I'd want that sunny day eternally!
If we meet again, my joy, my love, my everything,
Would become like jewels, and everyone would know...of a miracle...

My heart is open, let my dreams come forth...
Please, don't let anything surprise you...
I can't stop now, for I have come so far today,
And I must...remain pure, strong, and faithful...
The item that I lost will remain in my sight!
And may the world forever turn...
And as the falling rain consumes me, soothes me...
I will never stop singing this song for you!

Yes, you can! Just run "Mermaid Melody through the search and you'll find some!

    You're welcome!

Try "Mermaid Melody (whatever episode number you want to watch) to narrow it down even furthe. Be warned though: notr all of them are subbed.

I already checked it out. ^^ I'm gonna start watching the seried tomorrow when I get home from school.

I've been obsessed with this series for forever! ^__^ It's definitely one of my favorites. I've seen several episodes of it, and it is really cute! I love all of the characters, music, artwork, and everything else about it. It's really worth checking out.

And as far as an American release for the anime goes... The series was licensed by ADV, but they dropped it because of the costs due to its popularity, or something. I'm not exactly sure about that, but I do know that the manga will be coming out here in May! I can't wait! <3

The manga will be coming here? YAY! Only one month away!! =D

    *jumps up and down*

::heads off to her local bookstore to buy it.::

I really prefer manga over anime anyways.
So I'm glad that atleast the manga is being dubbed. XD

Will the manga be published from ADV?
    Or Tokyopop?
    Or VIZ?
    Or DelRey?
    Or Broccoli?

Yup, yup. DelRey is actually one of my favorites.

    1. If the manga has a colored introduction and chapter page, they'll actually have those pages colored

    2. It is right to left style. XD

    3. For the ones who don't quite understand the culture of Japan, they have "Translator's Notes" at the end of the book.

    4. It's not as expensive

    5. They tell you when the next volume comes out at the end of the book and include about 3 pages of a preview to the next volume.
